Haha this thread. He’s played two games!!It’s like some people can’t find anything to moan about because we’ve won two games.Ahadme will be decent.18

Of course after just a couple of games it’s all guesswork which doesn’t even need explaining but this place would be as dull as our current attacking options if only optimistic positive opinions are allowed to be expressed
someone let us know at what point are you allowed to predict the next Macaulay Bonne
I know pronouncing Yanns replacement has arrived is fine .0 -

It's unreal on here.People just like writing players off after a few games. Don't forget that "the great" Alfie May didn't score for the first few games.4
-
Ahadme is part of the plan. His work rate is great and he helps knacker out the defenders, along with Campbell. Then you bring on Aneke/Kanu to strike.
Yes he hasn't scored yet, but we've only played 2 games. Let the guy cook5 -

I mean we have been utter shit for years , This looks like The best opportunity in a few years for it not to be
everyone is buzzing with our defence and solidity it’s clear to see it’s much improved , attacking wise we look a bit blunt at The moment , that’s fine to express that opinion as well surely without the usual we can only wank off all players bollox
good bad and indifferent opinions should be allowed without the usual sniping

ahadme has looked mediocre so far is the fact. Maybe he’ll end up being good, maybe he’ll end up being shit. It’s too early to say, but only the former is an acceptable possible scenario to mention 🤔

I don't think anyone's hyping him up as the next Kermorgant, or predicting he's going to outscore May. Just that some people see enough to think he's got more potential.1 -

Cambridge local radio station on why they picked him as CUFC's player of the season last year: https://www.eadt.co.uk/sport/24269434.ipswich-town-doug-shulman-gassan-ahadmes-loan-cambridge-united/
Covers what we've seen about being a handful for the opposing CBs, but also emphasises him having a habit of scoring/assisting at crucial moments. Reading the CUFC thread about him there's a lot about how good he is with the ball at feet. Also sounds like his mentality is a big positive.
My overall sense is we'll see a lot more from him when our forward play evolves from long diagonals for him to compete for.8 -

that's not negativity, just the "reality" of the 2 games (only 2 though!) so far. therefore IMO optimism SO FAR is less justified than "negativity"
I'm certainly hoping the sun comes out and he scores a hat trick on saturday but if he is hauled off at half time having barely touched the ball I won't be telling myself he's the next best thing in waiting just cos he ran about a bit!1 -
I don’t mind what I’ve seen of him so far.
Best of all he has contributed to two wins in the League.0 -

Remember when Kilkenny was the new Cullen, or we had a real gem in Louie Watson?
Or the first few months of Dobson’s time here when he wasn’t considered one of our best players? He was even dropped after the first few games and didn’t show what he could do until he played under Jackson.

It's possible it could click suddenly. Hope he's more Dobbo than Izale.0 -

But as you say, two “average at best performances” so far. This is the only evidence we have on him… SO FAR (I also watched the Pompey friendly and was similarly unimpressed fwiw). Can’t go on anything else. Not writing him off, hope he is good. So far he hasn’t been, and most agree as per Statbank (albeit not Seth plum, although Seth I would point out that both matches were won after he had been substituted 🤷🏼♂️)0 -
Scoham saidTwo average at best performances still doesn’t tell us much though.

Three average performances followed by an abysmal one, really not impressed so far0
-
4 games into the season and I can't quite tell what he brings.
A lot of running but for the price tag I am far from convinced.0 -
He just so damn slow it's like Phil Chapple up front.0
-
A very poor man’s Matt Svensson0
-
All signs thus far saying we have paid well over the odds.0
-
Was better with his hold up play in the First Half... Did well to read the long balls pumped his way, and showed some good touches to lay them off, the only downside was he had either Tyreece Campbell or Berry as his targets from those knock downs, so the ball would pretty much always end up at the feet of a Reading player who pressed well today.
Invisible the second half though.2 -
Had our pants pulled down with him.0
-
Poor today, needs to get his touch sorted out as that's been consistently his biggest issue. Plenty of time
