Made hard work of it TBH...a lot of stepovers and trying to take on that extra man and losing it when an easy ball was on.......I guess you don't want to coach that out of them but well done
There is a rich vein of Charltonish running through every level of the club!
You mean digging deep and winning a cup, just like the U21s last night and that the U18s are set to do too. Or the women finishing 2nd in their league?
Just leaving after a very entertaining evening, That game really challenged the players of both teams physically. Glad to present the Steve Clarke award along with Pico of this parish to Captain Jack who certainly has had an eventful evening. We now stand on the brink of three cups if our U18’s do their thing. Unfortunately they won’t play any final at the Valley I was told because the pitch work starts more or less straight away.
Thanks to clive we were alerted that this was on Charlton TV around 15 mins before ko, and so pleased we were able to watch our lads win the 2nd Cup in 2 days !
Well done our yoof !!!
However, as Weegie stated, there was a serious risk of injury once extra time began. My feeling is that a Golden Goal should be the answer in that situation bearing in mind that all but the 'keepers were knackered by then.
The most i've enjoyed a game at 'The Valley' this season, good game, Bristol City a little unlucky to lose & i thought the referee did well to try & keep the game flowing as players from both sides began to tire & suffer from cramp.
Have to agree about (very young) McMillan, but a lot of the players were good. Sol Loza hat trick speaks for itself, but Lee Burnham twisted his opponent’s blood, and Elliott and Davis at the back were decent, actually all of them were pretty good. Keep an eye on the progress of McMillan, he definitely has something about him.

We need to make sure we sign the kid on the far left up. The power of levitation is a rare skill.
