Jackson Page has become the first player to make two maximums in the same match. And it has earned him a bonus of £147k for making 2 147s in major events this season. This was v Allan Taylor in the qualifiers for Sheffield.
Great stuff, but I doubt he will ever achieve that double again
Bit confused.
It was a first in the sport. Who’s suggesting he would do it again?
And why would that be a negative if he didn’t?
🤔
Remarkable achievement. Well done young man. I once got 2 breaks of eight in the same frame once.
Now that is something I agree I probably couldn’t do again.. 😉
Has Ronnie decided to play yet? Will there be a reserve if he decides he is too ill or fatigued?
If he pulls out now then there will be a bye for whoever draws him.
And the most annoyed person in the World would be Gary Wilson
If Ronnie pulled out last week Gary Wilson would have moved up to 16th and been seeded.
But he was 17th and in the qualifiers and lost to Daniel Wells(a player with history with Ronnie himself, Ronnie made comments saying he was better of staying an amateur player, rather than a professional)
Anyway so if Ronnie pulled out now as you say, his opponent would get a bye and Gary Wilson would be left fuming he didn't pull out last week.
However I have a sneaky suspicion TNT are gonna tempt him by offering to film a documentary around him this year, let's face it TNT have a bit more money than Eurosport and it's their first year with the World Championship and in the IMO very unlikely event Ronnie gets number 8 imagine if TNT were personally documenting the whole thing
They already did a special feature with Ronnie and Jimmy White with Ally Mccoist

Eurosport has been part of TNT for about 10 years now.

don't be confused sport, just take my post for what it says, it's not that complicated, and who mentioned negatives ?
Feels like it's been an odd first week. A couple of first round shocks and loads of scrappy games. I haven't looked at the stats but feels like we're seeing a lot less high scoring breaks than usual.

Ronnie O' Sullivan v Ali Carter no love lost between those two
Mark Selby v Ben Woollaston actual best friends who practice together all the time and their families are always doing stuff together.
John Higgins v Joe O' Connor a repeat of a ranking final from a few weeks ago, Joe's first ever ranking final
I think it will move after 2026, but I hope it stays in the UK
