Sounds like a good lad and another exciting prospect. Hopefully see him in some of the cup games next season.
  • Have seen his name in the U18s team this season and on the scorers and assists mentions in their reports.  Sounds like a good prospect.  Good luck Ibrahim and thanks for repaying our faith in you by signing. 👍

With M'bick, Casey, Kanu, Leaburn, Rylah, Fullah, Campbell, Huke and maybe still Ladapo we have some really exciting young attacking prospects signed up currently.

    Seems like a great ‘signing’

Looks as if U18 matches are recorded. Wouldn't it be great if Charlton TV had such material available once a week?
Is it a hugely time consuming and technologically difficult thing to do?
  • Nice one, I wonder if he’ll get some minutes in the final 2 games?
  • Looks fullahpromise May have to amend the name slightly

There's always a camera on the under 18 games at Sparrows Lane. Would be great if the club gave more coverage to them overall.

The crux of the matter might be consent as they're U18s playing U18 football. Obviously you get 17 year old in senior sides, but this is a slightly different regulatory situation I imagine

Worth bumping his own thread - he’s signed a new long term deal.

As I said in the u21 thread as well as scoring goals and getting assists as the article mentions, he’s a good technical player, very two footed and has played RWB, LWB and CM for the u21s.

Sounds like NJ rates him, looking forward to seeing him hopefully getting a chance in the first team and seeing how NJ uses and develops him.

Hopefully one that we get to see in pre season / cup games next season. Excited about him and Enslin breaking through fingers crossed.

Versatility can be a bit of a double edged sword, it's good to be able to play multiple roles but especially as a youngster you risk being a bit of a utility cover and can make it harder to nail down one specific role.

That said, having WB experience (and being able to play on both sides) is a definite bonus in an NJ side so hopefully that gives him a route forward

We've known for a while he's got talent, great to see him start last night. Exciting to see how far he progresses this season.

Lovely comments from Nathan after being asked about Fullah's first start.

“It won’t be his last, that’s for sure,” Jones smiled. “The kid’s a fantastic footballer - energetic, confident, and with great qualities. He’s not naturally a wing-back but we asked him to do a job, and he did that really well. I’m proud of him.”

  • Seems like a genuine talent. Will be interesting to see what position he “settles” in.

The club didn't say how long his or Enslin's new deals were when they signed late late season, but both were called long term. I would guess 3 years with hopefully an optional year on top. I'd have thought 2 years couldn't be called long term, and 4 years seems less likely for players of their age.

There's an interview on BBC after last night's match, NJ says Fullah is closer than people think - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0lwlc5w

There's also an interview with Fullah himself - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0lwptg5

My LOL is for a good use of a Simpsons gif. No doubt Fullah will score goals throughout his career. I'm more hopeful than you on Kelman though, he's not even completed 90 minutes yet.

Even before his goal, I was impressed with his performance on Tuesday. Looks like a decent player

Thought he defended pretty well for a non-natural wing back. Obviously has loads of quality with the ball as we’ve seen but was pleasantly surprised with his defending

Bump, great strike tonight and puts him clear at the top of our youngsters pushing for the first team, if there were any remaining doubts.

I’d have him regularly on the bench for that ability to score or create a goal. Anderson’s red card makes that even more likely on Saturday.
