Very sad news ( despite him being a Millwall supporter). Saw him perform at the Acapela Studio just outside Cardiff several times and it was always a great performance, We had booked up to see him again later this spring but the gig was cancelled a couple of months ago because of his ill health. RIP
Have been to see him twice in Basingstoke in recent years. The last one was about 5 years ago when he did an acoustic set with another player.
He told some great stories including the one about Viagra and how he was approached by the medical company that they wanted exclusively that song in the advert for a year. He said the word kerching...made a few bob on that/
Another one and i was disappointed but never knew this, but he stated that he never ever reads letters from fans sent to the venues prior to going on stage as he didnt want to take the possible contents of the letters on stage that may effect his performance. He went on to say most artists do the same.
