  • Useless header from Dobson, a scorned ex-player in front of the Covered End, the stars aligned for that bloody goal
  • Throw on Chuks and Pan, why not we've got fuck all to lose
  • That crossbar challenge was terrible, not even on target.
  • Absolute shit and non league football is  much better than this.

Terell Thomas has lumped it to their players every time he gets the ball. Dobbo lays on their goal and strolls around like he thinks he is Beckenbauer.  I cannot think of one positive thing to come out of that half. No one player is up to the standard required and NJ cannot turn this around in my view,

There is no urgency, no drive - nothing. Alfie has  even resorted to taking thrown-ins.

100% this team is going down and there is very little i can see that will change our play.

  • Even the new manager bounce has been Charltonised…..ffs…
  • Dobson is having a mare. We have nothing going forward. Bakinson needs to put some welly in his shooting.
  • Odd half that, no real chances for either team until the goal. Desperately lacking some creativity in midfield and our WB’s aren’t in the game at all. Camara soon please

Wow, how poor can we be.

This has to be one of the lowest points I've ever seen, same points as vale who have three games in hand, cheltenham 2 in hand and 2 points, and we're now 4 points from the nearest team above us. If we stay up it'll be a miracle and only because Cheltenham and Vale capitulate.

    Bad and sad times.
After a shocking start, Cheltenham's form since is on par with mid-table. I'd probably fear them more than Port vale
I agree, new manager and found some form. By the time we play them away on 5th March they will likely be above us. Be a real six pointer.
  • Am I mistaken, or do I keep reading we play it around too much and need to be more direct? Now I am reading about aimless balls punted up front?
  • Can’t even be arsed to get angry at this mob anymore , got so use to losing. Get them Division 4 maps out peeps .

  • Even the crossbar challenges have turned to shit.

This club is like King Midas in reverse
  • That’s insane. We ain’t even been that bad but what’s the point when you need to score 2/3 every game with a team that can’t score.
Wrong - we are shit in every position
  • Thomas is having a mare tonight...
    Why single Thomas out?

Not his fault we conceded or that our midfield has no creativity.
  • You have to have people breaking from the midfield, as well as Anderson has played if it doesn't start to work then I would bring Camara on for him and Chuks or Lapado for Kanu.
  • We are genuine relegation contenders because we can neither defend nor attack.
  • I’m not sure what NJ can do about this the players are really not up for this fight.
  • In total control because Lincoln let us be knowing we weren’t going to do anything. No willingness to force anything. Ramsay scared them at first but he doesn’t seem to want to take anyone on. REG must have had 90% of all the possession but there’s nowhere for it to go. Bakinson manages to be the biggest player on the pitch and completely missing. Karoy’s high press isn’t working and we’ve barely got May on the ball at all. Lincoln actually failed to capitalise on our two cock ups and then slammed one in from nowhere. When we’ve had chances they’ve been dribblers into the keeper. Hopefully Camara can stamp some authority on the middle because Lincoln aren’t good, just nasty
  • Struggling to think of any positives from that first half. Got lucky that Lincoln have not been clinical. 5 changes and zero improvement which is a concern.
  • This is why I find it funny against Reading everyone was like ‘this game is crying out for Dobson’ - like somehow we have not been crap all season when he has played - and lo and behold he is back in - and we look exactly like we have all season anyway.

We are just so poor everywhere, it wouldn’t matter if Dobson was prime Yaya Toure.
If only we'd have just kept Dobson (like we have done) and bought a creative midfielder instead of Coventry or Bakinson.

Now we're sat with 3 central midfielders without a creative bone in their body.
I mean George hasn't really pulled up trees in possession today. Coventry was brought in to help build.from the back, but you're right when there isn't anyone creative in front of you or out wide then...what can you do?

Aneke will never last 45 minutes.

Play him for that time and he'll be injured again.
  • Jones surely hasnt looked at this squad and said 'Yep lads, we need to just keep pinging aimless balls up top, I know it's not worked for months now but confident this will be the game it comes off'
NJ will need time - not ONE player is up to it
  • We had about four defensive silly boys moments out there. If Lincoln were any good they'd have been out of sight already. Also why is our passing so bad? So many underhit and overhit balls. Do we use different boots and balls in training to on match days. It's like a bloody lottery when any of ours kick a ball. Is it going to zoom into the distance at uncontrollable speed or is it going to slowly roll into the space in front of intended recipient? Bloody rubbish.
  • Watching the highlights (lol) in the concourse at HT. Bakinson is truly dogshit

Exactly, they've won a couple recently which is more than us! So have fleetwood come to that. At this rate I can honestly see us challenging Carlisle for the wooden spoon.

Still, 3 easy games coming up ....... 14 cup finals here we come.

Because we’re not good at either. Don’t have the physical strikers to go long, don’t have the players to create chances with possession football.

Don’t think a creative midfielder is going to help us out of possession, or defending crosses into our box.

Not saying much but I think Bakinson has been our best midfielder in recent games, at least he gets himself up and down the pitch.
  • Just had to be Dobson.
    We are shot.
    Chuks only chance.
  • At some stage in this half, we need to go 3 upfront, we’ve got nothing to lose.

There's layers to it though. Tonight we fartarse about at the back then pump a lazy diagonal to no-one.

Before we used to fartarse around at the back and then pass it short to someone to lose the ball.

Maybe next game we can bypass the fartarsery and just pump aimless diagonals all game and see if that changes anything
