We got him from WBA and passed him onto Swindon as I recall.
Don’t remember signing him twice.
if I am wrong forgive me.
If memory serves me correct signed from WBA, sold back to WBA, resigned and then sold to Swindon. Might be wrong of course. Need someone with the big red book to confirm.
Colin Walsh. Not just for “that goal” but for being a consistently classy player during his time with us.
Paul Mortimer. He originally took some stick from from some fans when he first came to Charlton but he became a great player for us. If one were to make a list of the greatest goals scored by Charlton in the last 40 years, he would feature very prominently. He had that amazing ability to pass to himself!
Sasa Ilic. He may not have burnt for long, but boy did he burn bright while he did. From swimming pool lifeguard to arguably the most in form goalkeeper in the country for probably a 10 game period or so at the end of 97/98 season. I'm not sure even his mum had heard of him when we signed him.

The core of our most successful season in recent history (plus Jackson and Solly), and all signed in the same window other than BWP.
