It's a delicate line between finding the right level for a player and that individual getting game time too - some have argued that Mbick and Kanu shouldn't be in League 2 but they are starting week in, week out whereas Zach hasn't played a single minute in the Scottish Premiership and he's stuffed now because he can't go on loan elsewhere. He had a very successful time at St Johnstone but this is Colchester re-visited for the lad.0 -
Colchester are quite humble status wise, but they have a realistic view of the kind of club they are.I have watched Academy games between us and Colchester United regularly, and for the past dozen or so years I have generally been impressed with them, they strive (and often succeed) to play decent, honest, credible and pretty skilled football at academy level. The development culture at Colchester always strikes me as a good set up without any ‘Bertie big bollocks’ attitudes anywhere that unbalances that culture.
I have also regularly seen Danny Cowley at our U21 games, and given his coaching background I would say he is a good fit for Colchester, and he will be a good influence and manager for Micha at this stage in his career.Looking at that wonderful showreel all from one single game there must be a huge temptation to recall Micha in January, but in the medium term it seems to me that he should remain at Colchester for the season and continue to be what he looks like he is, a big fish in a small pool.
It matters that Micha continues to be a stand out player in that fourth division.4 -
MicAH, his name is MicAH not MicHA0

I wonder if we’re going to recall Michu or not2

Zak is coming back from injury.
The Mbick we are seeing now for Colchester is the one we saw in the U21s.0 -
Can we really leave off the "let's recall them" stuff. Let's remember the Conor Gallagher episode.
And BTW does Mbick do the NJ "press" any better than Leaburn?0
