A fit Reid (and that's a big caveat) has to be an automatic choice doesn't he?
The guy has a touch of genuine class about him - probably more so than any other player on our books. I have doubts about his ability to stay fit and avoid injury but not his footballing ability and if he does stay fit he'd be one of the first names on my teamsheet.
Gives you options thats for sure. Play Reid on the left of a tight midfield 4 or straight down the middle or even as a withdrawn striker role.... do i sound like Curbishley?!
Surely Reid's an automatic, fitness permitting; he'll supply so many chances. He can now go hammer and tongs for an hour and we have back-up so can withdraw him if need be and rest him if he's struggling over 46 games, or if Pards wants to bolster midfield for a tough away game. Think he's wasted too wide, though Jerome evidently prefers to play left anyway. It worked a treat at Gills having him tucked in with Moo2 raiding wide beyond him. Exciting to have so many options, and (albeit at differing levels) so many goals on board.

(Sorry..........)
Agree that it does look like Reid will struggle to start though.

You really think that stan, i think he is one of our best players.
Strong midfield in 4 5 1. Is that Pards' way??
I do like Reid- not based on what he did on Sat but some of the stuff last season was sheer class.
If he is there in a 4 man mid- would be for the left footed dead balls IMHO
