Worse or better with Hylton, he is a player/coach. He has value off the pitch as well as on, so it is hard to compare.Dazzler21 said:

It’s more that why should he just walk back in. I used Hylton and Ahadme on the basis they’ve scored the same amount of league goals as our cheat code, and Hylton has done it in less appearances to highlight it’s pretty drastic we just assume he’s “fit” let’s just get him back on the bench.Talal said:
Get your frustrated with him but you'd rather Hylton on the bench? Come on.cabbles said:
One league goal this season, the same as Hylton and Ahadme. He’s approaching the end of a miserable 3 and a half years, and I for one are glad to see he hasn’t just walked back into the team/bench.SporadicAddick said:

We’ve got players like Terry Taylor and Dixon who may not be up to scratch, but are probably working just as hard and who may have more of a future here. Too many managers have, over the last few years, fallen into this trap of relying on him when he’s returned, and those returns have diminished each time he’s come back during that periodHe’s been less effective with each injury, the only thing he does of any consistency anymore is break down, and it’s quite refreshing not to see him just get his 20 minute cameo like it’s for granted.
You’re right in that I’m frustrated, but I genuinely don’t see what having him straight back in that squad will do, based on those diminishing returns. For want of a better analogy, it’s like somehow, we’ve convinced ourselves this guy was like some 11/10 we pulled in a bar once, but forgotten all the alcohol we consumed and the morning after. I still cannot get my head around it, even less so now with a couple of months of his contract left to run, and his last 12 months in a Charlton shirt
Nearly everytime Aneke comes off the bench we improve as a team. Nearly everytime Hylton or Ahadme come off the bench we get worse
Aneke P9, G1, A2
Ahadme P18, G1, A1.
Disagree with we get worse with Hylton, certainly true Ahadme is always a downgrade.
Ahadme is in a 1/4 year deal, so can afford to 'settle in'.Contracts surely have to count for something.
Aneke's is nearly up and the question is: Should we renew?: the fact he is injured, 1 G/2 assists out of 9 and 6 months left. Then you should have the answer.
That is why I think, I'm afraid, Aneke is more out than in (and I wouldn't be surprised if we have seen the last of him).4 -
Surely Aneke is one where we use him when available till the end of the season, then move him on. Regardless of how much he’s costing, there’s no way to plan with him as one of our forwards.5
-
Is anyone even seriously asking that question anymore? I full expect him to see out the remainder of the contract and quietly retire, for his own sake more than anything. I think we will get another 10 or so games off the bench from him between now and then before he will inevitably get some knock or something in early March and that will be that.JustFloydRoad said:

I'm not privy to the figures obviously but I wouldn't be surprised if he was right up there with our highest earners so I hope that is factored in when we are offering new deals to Small and Jones knowing that we won't be paying it in 6 months time - like literally just split his wages between them if needs be!!1 -
I guess you missed his goal then? That wasn't too shabby, to be fair.Athletico Charlton said:Off_it said:

I can say with a very high degree of confidence that he is better than Ahadme who I have down as non league standard and have seen no quality from whatsoever all season.2 -
He volleyed it into an empty net, it really wasn’t very impressive.Major said:

Aneke's non appearances will be forever a mystery.
Even when he starts 25 games next season.0 -
He's still better than Hylton, my pillow case is better than Hylton fgs.cabbles said:

I have to admit I did not go to Shrewsbury away, fair play to you if you did. It was a header if I recall from the highlights. From a couple of yards out. But I may be getting confused with his own goal.2 -
Just saw his Instagram and he seems apart of this Sport Management International scheme. Do you reckon he is getting his coaching badges?0

Any updated on when he'll be back (if he is coming back)?0

We’re undefeated for three and a half years in every game he has appeared for more than 15 minutes when the sun in shining and the opposing goalkeeper has a Y in his name.4

When does Chuks get Sinatra's record for the greatest number of comebacks?0
-
I'd certainly have Chuks kept around over Ahadme.
It's weird just how bad he's been for us.
Personally think Hylton has done alright each time he's come on, he's won the ball, played sometimes simple passes and sometimes very nice ones, like that assist mentioned earlier.3 -
He's on the bench today.

Hylton is a player/coach. Don't worry he still is there if anything happens in the warm upDazzler21 said:I'd certainly have Chuks kept around over Ahadme.
