You can say one thing about Michael Appleton are manager he stands his ground and isn’t afraid to do it.Wonder how many of our supporters would walk down the touch line tomorrow.0
-
Tomorrow is about supporting the team and supporting the new owners who deserve a good support after the window so far .. what happens to the manager happens .. I hope we get a good win tomorrow that’s what it’s about ..4
-
Get the feeling he knows he’ll be off next few days.2
-
Seen a lot of posts blaming the club for the way it’s handled today … Fact is the club done nothing wrong today it’s been business as usual .. it’s social media that’s caused the problem …13

Just catching up...
How the hell is Harry Potter supposed to do any better when we're under a transfer embargo?1 -

Couldn't agree more. Nothing personal to MA but the guy will fucking relegate us.5 - Sponsored links:

Maybe a ploy to even more pressure on, I don't know.
Be interested to hear his comments.. As I understand he didn't take training today either.1 -
For all the outrage and disappointment I have to say it's mostly self inflicted by the fans. None of the SMT or the comms team or "official" press people have said anything other than he's not fired... which he is not.
Whether or not he should be, it's been entirely on "ITKs" saying he's fired and with absolutely no official backing or even little hints or cryptic comments.
A lot of people look a bit daft right now and almost all of them bought it on themselves.9 -

We can form an orderly queue and all tell him face to face why we think that he is a C**T3 -
I think it is clear from Appleton's comments that he knows he has to start winning. My advice to him would be to replace T Watson with Asiimwe. Then decide who is going to play alongside Gillsesphey and Thomas in the three.0
-
He wants to come down The Oak and say that
And buy a round while he's at it1 -
A game tomorrow and the manager calling out fans for a fight, what a time to be a Charlton fan.10
-
Not an Appleton fan at all, but don't really see much wrong in the 'calling out fans for a fight' quote.
He's getting dogs abuse online and saying 'they wouldn't say it to my face' is both fair enough and true!38 - Sponsored links:

I’d love to know what a Comms professional would make on how our club is currently run. All football clubs leak info, that’s a given. But ours feels like it’s been a garden sieve since this lot come on board.Seems like there’s absolutely no meaningful Comms Strategy at all; management of key messages is all over the place and mainly maintained though non-professional outlets, and with that there’s now no certainty in terms of credibility of what is being put out. Responsibility lines are all over the place.
its not an area of work I’m particularly familiar with, but it looks a right mess imo14 -

After that interview, I am 200% behind MA.13

He might not have a clue about football formations but pictures from his press conference show he knows dick all about that either...

Welcome to the mad house Michael.
Hope you last longer than the previous bloke.2 -
Ed. Removed as could be taken out of context without knowing the back story2

No problem with that. If it get really personal with swearing and dogs abuse then why doesn't the person have the bottle on their own and say it to his face ?
Because there is safety in numbers and that's how cowards behave. I'm not talking booing but the personal abuse shite from a safe distant away or on social media.
Humour to take the piss is fair for all of us whether in the public eye or not. You give it you should take it.
I do mean when your sober and I'm not making this up: a day after the Lockerbie disaster I was at firms Xmas do
(Not my firm) and a drunk in the audience said to a Scottish comedian that they wished the plane had fallen on his house,
as the comedian walked towards the guy to give him a kicking a quick thinking college gave the drunk a slap and quickly got him out of there.
The 6ft Comedian (Never seen him on TV) composed himself got a round of applause and smashed it; the rest of his act not the drunk.
Novak Djokovic offered one heckler in the match against the Aussie the other day to come and say the words to his face and the guy at the end of the match said sorry and then went mute.
Keep it funny as many posts have over the last few day. It a shame with the minority who posted "Michael Appleton a Cunx and fuck off"
Same with players who get dogs abuse with no comic value; It's just crass.
