Oh, that's such devastating news ! We had been hoping & praying that dear John might find the strength to continue his fight against this evil disease despite all the odds. Bless his heart & all our love goes to his lovely wife, Jane.
Our Tracey helped to make John & Jane's visit to The Valley a very special one as John knew it would be his last.
It was wonderful, but heartbreaking, to see the happiness on their faces when they arrived in Crossbars & were able to meet several Lifers before being whisked away by Mrs L for some pitchside introductions.
John was able to meet the gaffer and several of his players including young Miles, and hopefully was able to hear Brian welcoming him with a halftime message.
Our football club was clearly very dear to John's heart and he loved being part of the CL family.
