Well, he's always been an attacking midfielder, why he's been listed as defensive I don't know. If you look into his history he's always been a goal scoring midfielder.
todorov looked well off the pace at the two friendlies ive seen (welling and braga), i would honestly go out and say iwelumo looks double the player todorov is as he wants the ball and puts himself about a bit using his size as an advantage. todorov on the other hand just sort of walks about up front a bit looking a tad lost.
Well if ToddleOff just walks about all match but still scores 25 League goals (like he did for Pompey 3 or 4 years ago), then I for one won't complain.
That's all Jimmy Greaves used to do - and his ONLY critic was Sir Alf Ramsey.......

agree 100%, if the Mcleod deal goes through then all we need now is a CM (Mullins assiming the Hammers sign someone else) to complete the squad I reckon
Mullins is a cnut, and I still think we need one more centre half (two if Diawanka goes). I think Todorov will be a useful squad player and despite his fitness problems in the past couple of years he knows where the onion bag is. If he gets a decent run in the side, stays fit and builds confidence, he could easily get 20 goals with decent service.
If we just strengthen our centre mid options - maybe ZZ and Mullins (sorry Leroy), then the squad looks decent.
And by January, we'll know what's working well and what ain't.
Back to topic, I'd be happy for us to take ZZ back - he may look lightweight but he can put himself about. I thought he did really well to settle so quickly - new country, new language, new team and new style of football. It's a bit harsh to give him the blame for missing chances - he wasn't the only one, and that wasn't all that sent us down. Don't forget he wasn't a Pardew signing, but managed to win him over to chuck him into the deep end of a relegation struggle. He could be the fitter alternative to Andy Reid.
(And it might mean we continue to get a bit more international coverage/ profile, don't forget...)
What's all this Mullins stuff ? Championship player on premier League wages, we will NOT sign him unless he takes about a £10-£15k per week cut. That's one deal that will never happen.

Yes and no!
Toddy has had a lot of injuries that is why he isn't match fit. He made a mistake against Braga and immediately tracked back to try and rectify it. JFH would never have done that. He would have gesticulated towards one of the others and then shook his head and put his hands on his hips when they ignored him!
In short I think Toddy's attitude is right but he needs more time. JFH just saw us as one more payday I think although to be fair he did contribute a few assists.
Word from inside the Club was that JFH's attitude was spot on - he was as committed as anyone to the cause. The problem was he just couldn't run anymore...Let's hope with Toddy that it is just fitness.

Sign him!
My "new" side would be:
Weaver
Yassin - McCarthy - Bougherra - Powell
Thomas - Zheng - Semedo - Reid
Varney - Todorov
Subs: Randolph, Thatcher, Iwulemo, Ambrose, McLeod
like the rest though.

Just think that he has to come good with his pedigree and seems a better bet than Big Chris or Marcus.

And become the favourite team in Soho.
It did bring quite a few from the Chinese community to The Valley.
I liked Zhengy - mobile, pacy, good movement off the ball and worked his socks off.
this is what i think aswell, both times i seen him looked pony! Hope i am wrong tho aye dude
and i would have zz back in a flash!
Regarding Toddy I think he is lacking match fitness. The brain knows what it wants the body to do but it isn't quite happening yet.
I think he will look a lot better if he can string a few games together.

If I was looking for a new job, I wouldn't be keen to take something that slashes my previous income in half.
