Anyone playing last night was surely down the pecking order, as unless they were desperate for match fitness we would not have risked them a few days before the big kick off.
So faye looks highly unlikely to be even on the bench Saturday but Arter did not play so does that mean that he has a chance of soem involvement? Josh Wright played against Bromley but Harry did not.
Right, here goes... Bromley were really impressive - always played on the deck; excellently worked first goal, and didn't tire towards the end. And now the bit we care about, albeit a little unqualified as I ain't seen much of some of these.
Randolph: One excellent reflex save but seemed a little jumpy when kicking. Not many crosses to deal with, so couldn't judge him there.
Long: Quick, committed, and listened to Kins. (Aswad) Thomas: Great name, and pretty good game too. Always looking to attack ball, tried to pass it out when poss, and scored a thumping left-footer receiving free-kick rolled from edge of box. Faye: Mmm... I was just musing on how he'd been quietly effective when he lost possession, then failed to make a convincing recovery for their second goal, despite the finisher showing no great turn of pace. Chrissy: Very promising youngster; still galloping down the wing in the closing stages!
Sam: As always, looked a real handful at times, but I'd like to have seen him impose himself more as a relative senior among the kids. Make or break time. Wright: Excellent. Energetic, strong, excellent passer always looking to advance play. Could be a tasty pairing with Arter one day. Sinclair: Did far better than at Aldershot; much better suited inside. Good engine. Chrsitiansen: Oh dear! Clearly has ability to beat a player, but dreadful attitude. Wouldn't have him anywhere near the 1st team until he grows up and stops looking offended every time someone has the audacity to challenge him. Think early, no end product, Ronaldo. Be nice if he turns into anything like him though.
Walker: Works really hard and good with back to goal, but not quite sure what particular trick will see him step up. Doesn't appear a natural finisher, and not exceptionally quick. Dickson: All been said already. Rough edges but genuine eye for goal. Hit woodwork twice and one juicy half-volley on the turn out of nothing. Sub for Saturday?
Subs: Wagstaff and Solly both quick. That's about it really. Perhaps I shpould've thrown in a few more "scorching", "piledriver", "blockbuster" terms and given each player I hadn't even noticed a rating out of ten to screw up everyone's Sun dream team points.
