Charity bet

edited August 2007 in General Charlton
I've just signed up for a charity bet at work with supporters of other Championship teams this season. The deal is that it's £20 a man with the winnings going to the supporter of the highest placed team come seasons end to donate to the charity of his or her choice - though this gets doubled to £40 per man if the winning team gets promoted.

At the moment there's me with Charlton (obviously) and the "competition" is from supportes of QPR, Plymouth, Leicester, Palace, Bristol City, Southampton, Coventry and Narwich.

Anyway, my question is not "what do you think of my chances?" but more "where shall I send the winnings?"

I was thinking of the womens team.
:o)

  • Only Leicester & Southampton are really on a par with you in my book, reckon you have a reasonable chance of winning.

    Charity has to be Demelza..!
  • Send it to "Bring back Leeds" after all they'll be out of business by then. :)

Have to say, I'm pretty confident. Agree that Leicester is probably the biggest challenge, but luckilly there doesn't seem to be any Wolves/WBA/Watford/Sheff U fans where I work - RESULT!!!
