Stuck with it until Rorys bogey at around 2.45,pretty sure he wouldnt get back 2 shots over 4 holes,although he got 1 back.A pity, he played well but not one putt made over 8 foot in the final round,you dont win majors like that.
Watching it last night, it felt to me like McIlroy was relying on others dropping shots instead of really going for it himself. It wasn't the most exciting of major final rounds.
Rory's approach play wasn't good enough. Didnt leave himself any putts inside 10 feet & most were 25ft plus, even though he hit virtually all greens in regulation.
Needed to score on 8 after getting to the front edge in 2. Perhaps a little more leaderboard pressure would have weighed on Clark more at that stage. Thought Clark handled the final day amazingly well, so steady with the putter and pulled out some amazing chips to keep his nose in front.
