    I remember David Stocks.

He played as a left back and came into the side when John Hewie was injured in the 1962/63 season. He was in and out of the first team for a couple of seasons before leaving for Gillingham I think it was from memory.

When I saw David play the Charlton X1 was something like this:-

    Wakeham

    Sewell

    Stocks

    Bailey

    Hinton

    Tocknell

    Kenning

    Lucas / Henderson/ Kennedy

    Matthews

    Edwards

    Glover / Peacock

Jim Ryan also played instead of Matthews or Edwards at times too.
