in truth we don’t know just how this will all pan out for them but they don’t strike me as having the fanbase to rally round and make this work0 -
Dropping back into non-league over the next few seasons would probably be the good outcome for them. They apparently owe several millions to other companies owned by the same bloke. If any of those companies get sold or go into administration, that's likely to lead to the debt being called in, which could well be fatal. Clubs normally manage to stagger on for a fair while if the worst happens, so if you're desperate to see Charlton play there, our visit in March is likely to go ahead but I wouldn't be too confident we'll ever play there again.
Normally I'd be expressing sympathy for the fans of a club in trouble, even if it's due to ridiculous over-spending like Derby, but in this case the over-spending was funded by money that had been defrauded from other businesses so I can't say I'm bothered if they survive or not.1 -
Do Fleetwood have the financial wherewithal to meet this seasons commitments ?0
