she is brilliant, she attended my dads funeral on behalf of the club and arranged some amazing flowers.

above and beyond the call of duty doesn't do her justice
  • Truly special lady and we are so lucky to have her in our club

A great read.  And a wonderful person.  We are fortunate to have a pair of Angels at the heart of our club, one an employee (Tracey), the other a fan (take a bow @Fanny Fanackapan ), who between them do so much in support of others. I for one will never forget the support I received after my health issues a couple years ago and ever since.  Wouldn't have happened without the pair of them. And that's just the rip of the iceberg. I doff my cap to you ladies.

Tracey lives and breaths Charlton. She has really helped to make my daughter very happy. Every time we go to Charlton she always ask where she is. Then it becomes a game of trying to spot her near the tunnel at the end of the game. Thanks for making her time at Charlton an unbelievable experience

Lovely lady. I was over from the States last year. Bumped into her just as I arrived at Lincoln for the game up there. We chatted for a while and when she realised I didn’t have a ticket she went out of her way to make sure Miles left me one at the ticket office. A very classy lady.

Wonderful lady, who truly has the club deep in her heart and makeup.
We owe her a big debt for the 'boardroom' shenanigans!
Thank you Tracey, pity none of the last few owners have your care and passion for our great club! You deserve all the accolades that come your way!

Leaburns and Dobbo are Charlton at the moment
  • During the week of 'Partygate' (spit) my dad turned 80. As so many of you will know, he was home alone as we weren't allowed to meet up to celebrate. You guys at Charltonlife sent so many cards and were awesome (many thanks to Fanny).

At the same time I phoned the club to enquire about whether somebody from the club could send a card or something. The customer service team advised that it was close-season and there was literally nobody working at the club over the summer. Tracey rang me out of the blue and went one better and got JJ to send a personal video birthday greeting. To say my dad was emotional getting it on his birthday, was the understatement of all understatements! None of that would have happened without Tracey.

Tracey: What you do for so many others connected with the club that we all love dearly, is so much appreciated. You are a legend in your own lifetime.

Kindness personified, brilliant organising the drive by - with an elongated pause - for my mate's funeral when only 20 could go the service. Have seen every competitive goal by Carl and Miles, but without Tracey (and a few others effectively saving the club) maybe would never have seen Miles add to the total.

Thanks for posting the article shirty5.  One of my favourite threads of all time.
  • Brilliant to see her get some recognition, especially on a national platform like that. Thanks to those contributing their experiences of Tracey's kindness as well!

Tracey is the type of person that some organisations are very lucky to have.  It’s more than a pride in their job, because they always do much more than that anyway.  They go out of their way to help you and they’re the glue that holds everything else together, encouraging others to step up too.  In many ways, they’re the only reason that everything else works.

We are truly very lucky to have Tracey at Charlton. Her role has changed so much from her early days, but she has taken it all in her stride and still does more than anyone could expect of her.  I for one will be eternally grateful for the work she has done in promoting the PSA tests at the Club.  Thanks always TJ!  ❤️🤍

I’ve been fortunate through CL to have had quite a few dealings with Tracey over the years. Undoubtedly almost all of them have been outside the scope of her actual job. It’s always for the right reasons, privately, with no fanfare.

She’s a true diamond, a ‘doer’ and a key component of our club. Every club needs ‘a Tracey’ and we as fans are very thankful to have her as ours.

It would be nice if Charlton Live got her on for an interview although Sunday mornings she might be cooking up Bacon and Eggs for Miles and Carl.
  • One thing that stood out for me in the article was that Tracey gets calls from ex-players who need her help (which speaks volumes for how much trust these players put in her, and for how far beyond her remit she is willing to go to help people, completely selflessly) but also made me think, is her role unusual? I've never really considered that other clubs may not have the same position/role to help players. Does anyone know? Or perhaps she is just better at it than others
  • I think most clubs have at least one person in this job now. I remember seeing something from a bloke at West Ham, saying they used to bung young players and foreign players in a flat in Gants Hill somewhere and wonder why they slowly went mad, his job was to do the human stuff - help get the kids into school, find the wife friends to talk to, make sure the younger ones were kept on the straight and narrow. It's not charity to make sure players are ok, it is looking after your major asset. Another asset after players is supporters so again it makes sense to do good things. From what I've read Tracey goes above and beyond, which is great.

Met her once, she reminded me of my sister. Charlton obvs, but it was more to do with how she goes over and beyond her job description to help out her 'client's'. She seems to be a god mother to all of them. The fact that past players ask her for advice and reassurance shows that. Special lady and Carl you are one lucky lad.

Does Tracey have an MBE or OBE ?, if not we should be fighting very hard to make sure she is recognised for what she has achieved.

Tracey has already won the Supporters Player of the Year as one of the four who confronted Matt Southall in the infamous Boardroom coup.

I have absolutely no idea what it takes to nominate someone for an honour but I would 100% help in anyway I can to make this happen.
The very least this wonderful lady deserves ❤️
