    RIP.
  • No!!! Gutted about this - the voice of football in my childhood and beyond. The voice behind so many of our great Prem moments under Curbs.

    Legend.

Spent my childhood listening to this man. The true voice of football. Sleep easy Motty.
  • Motty wasn't just a legendary commentator in Football

He was one of those voices, like Murray Walker etc. that you just associated with Sport

    RIP!!
  • Wasn't his first ever match at The Valley? He did a talk at a screening of a Charlton film years ago at the Greenwich Picturehouse. Seemed like a lovely man.

Dickie Davies this week, Motty today... hope someone's checked in on Des Lynam.

Devastating. RIP Motty. Think my favourite Motty moment is David Beckham's equaliser against Greece: as it focused on Beckham and then Ericsson he said "and he deserves it and he's a lucky manager, because David Beckham has pretty much beaten Greece on his own"... the way he riffed off the camera at the time and captured the moment was incredible.
  • Can still hear him describing Ronnie Radfords screamer.
    RIP
  • RIP, a real shock that
