Fair play to Deano for completely binning off Macca after the Ipswich game.
He gave Macca the benefit of the doubt when he joined in January with earlier social media posts and put a lot in to getting the fans on board with Macca. He would rightly have felt let down after Ipswich yet with our striker shortage and Macca having recently scored a couple, another manager may have been less principled and brushed it under the carpet.
So pleased I got the opportunity to see him play again after being so disappointed we sold him for £2million before… We could pick a wonderful XI of crap footballers from recent seasons and I can’t think of anyone I’d rather have upfront.
Is he still contracted to us...?? If so I'd fine him another 2 weeks wages & get him in next week sweeping or clearing up.
If we've told him that basically don't bother coming in anymore, you aren't getting played and we aren't offering another contract, it'd be harsh (but funny, admittedly).
