I think there are some nasty comments on here about TS in this video clip. The guy is obviously being directed by the photographer to get the right photograph. I’m sure if you saw similar videos of other photo shoots by models there would be some similarity with awkward poses, although a lot more prettier 🥸
Agree completely
these photoshoots are notoriously awkward. Some people love them and the chance to show off. Others dread them because for every “cool” photo that comes from them there are loads more where people look special….
Some of the comments are rather distasteful in my opinion given he is, as things stand, our owner. we shouldn’t forget he came in when we were on our knees. He came in with good intentions. I don’t think he knew what he was getting into financially but for all the people ripping the piss and calling him a loser …..I’d love to be worth a few hundred million pounds!
in summary he DID save us but soon realised he had misjudged the financial requirements. Presumably he didn’t have the right people advising him…just as with his recruitment at Charlton you could say! It does seem as if we are in the “last days of Rome” phase of his ownership but he has certainly not been malicious to the point he should be getting some of the abuse he is. It just isn’t working out.
Not sure what you mean by the use of the word 'special' ?
A question that's not related to sandgaard out etc, But just out of interest...
Dean Holden looks like Tim from The office. Sandgaard behaves like brent.
Are there others at Charlton who replicate some of the other characters?
Is there a Jennifer, Gareth, Dawn, Neil or a finchy?
I can imagine 10-15 years ago, there was probably a simon computer geek sorting stuff out at sparrows lane My phone, tablet and laptop all now happen to have secure super extra firewall anti virus protection. I feel i can now understand that blokes arrogance...
5 years since he took over apparently. Am I in the minority that has warmth for him?
Yes, he was an egotist, made some insensitive and poor decisions from hiring his family to do professional jobs, and didn't take us forwards.
However, despite his incompetencies, I'll always be thankful that he saved us from the utter crooks which had tied our club in knots, that needed someone to come along and untangle. I was really worried for our future at that point, and delighted when he took over.

I think his heart was in the right place….but he had no idea what he was doing and his ego would not allow him to engage to get help.
Not malevolent….but arguably more ‘dangerous’ to the club than old captain brown teeth.
have said this many times - i think he truly cared and his failings were genuine failings, rather than an attempt to fuck us over for their own benefit like some of the other shysters
Funnily enough, I think he would be welcomed if he ever fancied a visit sometime…..at least I’d like to think so. I wonder how his businesses are fairing at the moment as they seemed to be a bit of a roller coaster affair ?
Extremely naive and didn’t have the humility to learn, although I think he did realise he had made an expensive mistake and the best thing to do was to sell it to people who know what they’re doing.
I think like duchatelet, he just assumed a third tier English club was like a third tier club in any other European country and just by throwing a little bit of money at it you could get to the top tier. Unlike duchatelet, sandgaard wasn’t a deeply vindictive and unpleasant person.

I think the staff he sacked unfairly would disagree.
Calling him the david Brent of football owners is quite a good comparison to be honest. Not exactly a horrible person just completely lacked self awareness.

I remember talking to some people within the game who knew I was a Charlton fan who said he was the most clueless owner they'd come across, incredibly naive to deal to with.
He had an enormous ego and convinced himself that he needed no help in running a football club. Not evil I agree. But he was a massive twat.
Which was basically Duchatelet too.
Duchatelet thought he was clever than everyone else, and wanted to prove it.
Saangaard was better than what came immediately before - unlike ESI, he was trying to do right by Charlton, just wasn't very good at it sadly. But for getting rid of ESI and how things may well have turned out if he hadn't, there's definitely a positive element to his tenure.
Sandgaard wasn't a crook but that is a low bar to set.
He got rid of some crooks which is the positive he should be remembered for.
He over promised and over estimated his and his family's ability to bring about positive change
He lost £19m but still under delivered on and off the pitch.
He treated staff badly including Jacko.
It's not perfect but now Charlie boy has gone I'm a lot happier with our current owners and not just because we rarely see or hear from them.
I think Duchatelet was worse as he committed the same sins as Sandgaard but he sold us to crooks while hiving off the only assets for himself, an act that continues to hold us back.
It all started so positively. I remember he appointed Ged Roddy for the football side and Wayne Mumford for the business side. It looked like he was going to be an owner who delegated jobs to people who seemed to know what they were doing. I actually think Ged would have been a great appointment if Sandgaard hadn't been so hands on. This is just an opinion; somebody who is ITK will possibly say otherwise.

There goes Thomas Sandgaard. I must remember to thank him.
Where's that video of him dragging round speakers, guitar etc and playing it in his office in front of his staff? Couldn't be more Brent if he tried.

He did love a clean sheet win, unfortunately we never got many under his ownership
Him running the club 2/10 (and I’m probably being kind)
He’s no Matt Southall but he was still an egotist who believed it was his way or the highway. Which many loyal staff found out to their detriment.
The Addkicks to Victory was such an embarrassment.
