Novel sporting disruptions

I’ve played cricket when cows wandered on to the pitch and disrupted a game for 30 minutes. I’ve played (or not played) a football game when mist sat in a valley and made visibility impossible despite the ref making four attempts to play before abandonment. Today, I watched Leicestershire v Notts and the game lost 6 overs and was suspended for 30-40 minutes because a sprinkler popped out of the ground and wouldn’t go back. Any other novel disruptions?
