But none of these "problems" originated from the fans....
People are now , rightly, concerned that there's no smoke with out fire.
The facts aren't hidden. They're here for all to see.
I’m worried that this is being set up to be Charlton fans vs Roland pt. 2, just with a different antagonist. In fact, I think some people actively want it to be that.
I’m not at all convinced that Sandgaard’s delusions of breaking even in L1 or his particular style/approach to management are correct, but those are not enough for a full on breakdown in the relationship between owner and fans. I think the wheels are in motion however and it feels like this is only going to head in one direction.

I agree totally with this. The wheels have started to turn and it is only going to end up one way imo. TS has made loads of mistakes and I was totally gutted that we didnt sign the final pieces of the jigsaw to give this season a real go. It seems really shortsighted of TS to not follow through with a little bit of spending ( after what he has already wasted on players like Chucks etc ) he has for whatever reason failed to deliver the tools that would make BG's job alot easier, I would be really suprised if the Manager is still here when the season ends as I'm sure other clubs will come calling for him.
My point is that although all of the above is gutting there are quite a few fans ( see twitter etc ) that seem intent on demonstrating all the time and they will end up alienating everyone TS will imo get sick of it and go. People should remember this when Bassini's name or any of the usual suspects start popping up which is more likely than a billionaire !
By the way that isnt meant as a defense of the current ownership and the shite that is going on, just that people should be careful what they wish for as things can get a whole lot worse (as those of us with memories are aware of)
Many of you liked my post on P58 of this thread and for that I'm very humbled. You saw that, in the post, I was suggesting that TS should now look at selling up, if nothing else but for his own finances, however I'm concerned when people across SM are beginning to call for protests. I personally would caution against that....it wouldn't take long for the wider football community to look at Charlton supporters and say "look they're off protesting again against another owner they don't like" and this time we may not get the general support and media coverage we did last time. However more worrying to me would be that potential buyers sitting in the wings (if indeed there are any!), may just think to themselves..."sod this don't think we'll bother if that is how they're going to act everytime they don't like something or we don't do what they want us to" That could then leave us open, as others have said, to the Bassini's of this world, or God forbid ESI version 4. Yes TS needs to be looking to move on, or to change his business plan drastically, but action against him at this time may be completely counter productive. I hope the above makes sense.

100% agree. Not sure protest is indeed. I think he is just making bad choices, and now he is out of cash, and trying to cut on costs
What we wish for as fans to me is irrelevant when people cant go to work without fear of ill treatment or micro management then questions need to be asked, I've never commented on whether we should have bought a striker or what formation we play. I will however comment when a senior manager phones a junior member of staff at home who is comforting a dying relative and then tells them their absence is putting their job at risk!
I don’t think we are at the point of protests to get TS to sell yet. But I think if the ticket prices aren’t revised soon then fans need to take action. Could be something as simple as a “Twenty is Plenty” banner at a game but if TS isn’t getting the message it does need to be stepped up

Don't disagree and TS should sort this out as his number 1 priority! Sadly, like you, I don't think he will, he is either ignoring it on purpose, or thinks he can get away with it...this, in my opinion, is where we as fans could be focusing in the short term mate. I know you've done what you can and the time you've given to try and sort it..perhaps a collective push about this issue alone is needed.

Agreed - I’m sure he isn’t happy and will be looking for a way out / just not sure that being forced out is doing to end well - look how that ended up with RD

I have every sympathy for you and those affected but in my opinion there are certain routes you can go through to try and address this - im no expert but I’d definitely be trying them if TS is not listening - others will know more than me about what these routes are - as you say, it really isn’t an issue about football matters
I don't have any dealings with Twitter so cannot comment on the kind of posts made there.
Protesting, as such, could not be further from my mind so please don't point a finger ( or 2!) in my direction.
What I do know is that the manner in which TS is running this business is impacting on more than a few members of staff- albeit that issue is extremely concerning & unethical IMO.
But if anyone is incapable of understanding that his "ways" will end in tears for many, including the fans, then you clearly are looking through those rose coloured specs.
Serious allegations of bullying under the owner's watch, the "redundancy" of a well respected, hard working Olly Groome, the absurd matchday ticket prices which will invariably impact on home attendances AND hospitality sales, the refusal to pay for the squad to be strengthened by a much needed striker & hence, I believe, the unsettlement of our new manager which might well put the cat amongst the pigeons, the realisation by some that his modus operandi to cut losses could see players leaving in January including much valued young 'uns .....and I'm sure there are some factors currently forgotten.
A long, disturbing list indeed surely leading to one outcome.
This is a man who "doesn't do failure" but who refuses to listen to the counsel of others.
How can you help someone who won't help himself ?
So, yes, I am worried about the future of our club but at this moment in time, I'm unsure just what those "banners" mentioned above might say .
I agree that another cycle of fans protests could be counter-productive. What I would like to see is just a little bit more honesty and recognition from TS regarding what can realistically be achieved on the football front with the funds he is able to invest in the club.
We all know that another 2-3 transfer windows is not going to move the club forward on the pitch if he is going to have to sell the best players in order to achieve his target of breaking even. We also know he isn't going to achieve higher gates without better performances. The most obvious avenues for him to explore are either to bring in other investors alongside him, or else find the best buyer with the deepest pockets in order to sell to them. At present all I can see is at best maintaining the status quo of remaining a mid-table L1 club, with a worst case scenario that we slip further down the pyramid.
I just feel like my intelligence is being insulted at the moment. I keep thinking back to Steve Gallen's face during his recent interview after the transfer window closed. He tried to sound enthusiastic about the 6-7 players that had been brought in, plus the new manager, but he knew that would sound hollow to any supporter listening.
I’m confident a more effective banner than the £20 is plenty one would one be focused around the bullying going on behind the scenes. Would be picked up by the media for sure.

If you're going to tell CL snippets then you need to give more detail, which is probably not appropriate for public consumption.
A day off to comfort a dying relative is obviously a lot different to expecting weeks off. Is it paid leave, unpaid leave, has the leave been granted or has it been taken without permission etc etc?
People can't judge without knowing the facts and I don't think the facts should be made public, unless the person concerned wants it to be made public.
No doubt I’m going to get hammered for this, but what do we actually want?
We protested against Roland/Katrien & Sandgaard was proclaimed as the second coming. Now we’re not dominating all comers, Sandgaard is getting pelters, I’m no longer sure what the end game/target is
Did TS make a mistake with his blow the league out of the water, yes - Are tickets too expensive, yes - should the likes of Olly Groome have been treated better, yes
I've lost sight of what we actually want, are a loaded Saudi group going to be interested in a League 1 club, no & at the same time, Sandgaard isn’t loaded enough to give an open chequebook - he’s made mistakes in terms of not backing Garner but I’m not sure what we’re actually looking for any more

TS main issue is all the over promising rubbish he came up with at the start. It fuelled fans expectations and he has massively under delivered.
What I 100% would say is I think it strange the Trust saying if Charlton fans were in charge we would have bought in a striker... We make £8M loss per year. If fans were in charge we would be bust. A Trust demanding (?) players seems to me like over stepping the mark with a loss making club.
Tuesday night was abysmal and one of my worst Charlton memories but it never crossed my.mind not to go in future / renew and I am surprised by the number of fans on here saying they will stop going. Never figured @golfaddick for a glory hunter for example.

Win games... that's all most fans want, regardless of the club they support - If the owner provides a team that does that, then I suspect the majority of fans wont care what he says or does, whether they're loath to admit it or not
If the fan advisor's slung her hook that would explain things.
No that’s one of the 3 replacements for Dan Burke. Why it needed 3 to replace him when Sandgaard keeps banging on about breaking even makes no bloody sense
He keeps deflecting by holding up Ipswich and SW as having much bigger budgets than everyone else; no Thomas you weren’t asked about those clubs, you were asked about this club.
