I slunk back a few weeks ago. It got to a point I couldn’t catch up. However everybody has done a great job, this thread has never been off the first page. Is it time for a new specialist round, do I have the authority anymore to suggest one? Anybody got any ideas?

Welcome back Guv...by the way, here's an idea for a specialist round... NO MORE XYZ...unless you of course want to take care of them, we are well rung out with those, apart from @HarryAMuse..😉 Unless we start allowing repetition....

The absolute bedrock of this thread is that it is music presented live. That is a non negotiable, no MTV Video type stuff, mash ups, or mimes, it is all about delivery.
However in the just over a year of this thread certain letters have been tricky. Not 'Y' in my opinion, but 'X' and 'Z'. So my proposal is that they are optional. So somebody posts a 'W' like Wonderwall, and the next one can be Xanadu if somebody can be bothered, but otherwise there need be no hanging around and straight on to Yesterday. Again no need to hang around for a 'Z' but straight on to All Right Now and we go round again.
As for specialist rounds, the One Hit Wonder is a good idea. Or we can 3-D chess it by having an A-Z but with alternate male and female artists as well. Or it could be restricted to a particular decade, or even year, A-Z, or each live artists all have to be wearing blue or something for one round.
Any thoughts?
If we settle on something I will ask Admin to update the thread heading.
Thing is Seth, after 95 pages, and 14 months, repeats are starting to turn up, and on the base of it, that is inevitable, can't do much about that, the search box can help on that one,... like the idea of no real need for the X & Z, they are getting very awkward, for me anyway, so be good to be flexible on that one. The 3-D chess thing sounds ok,..but how about a round of A-Z of Artists rather than songs..🤷♂️

Isn't about time someone updated the summary of what songs have been selected? The last one must have been about 65 pages ago!
