I feel like I say this a lot but Innis is also a lot quicker than people give him credit for.Sage said:
I’d actually say Inniss is good on the ball. He passes with a purpose and has good vision too. He might not venture forward with the ball into midfield but he’s certainly not uncomfortable on the ball.North Lower Neil said:No idea if we're after Dunkley but I'm not keen on his as a possible signing.
We've got s good in the air but not on the ball etc centre back with injury issues in Inniss, I don't want 2.15 -
After his episode at Wimbledon I think it’s for the best.Sage said:

Inniss is a liability on more than one front. Can’t rely on him remaining fit for more than a handful of games and has the red mist descend a bit too often for me. A settled back four or three is never going to happen with him in the equation. Having said that when he’s playing he’s a real asset at league one. O’Connell, Lavelle, Inniss and ? Would look pretty good to me.1

Good write up on him.. On a free? Yes please..matt88 said:
He does. Not sure he’d be the greatest fit into Garner’s playing out from the back style though.ricky_otto said:
He has a pretty good goal scoring record for a centre back - 1 every 10 games. I seem to remember he scored 2 in one game against us for wigan.matt88 said:Don’t know what to think about Dunkley. Was immense at Wigan and was always impressed when he played against us. Wednesday fans i know have labelled him a calamity though and are happy to be rid of him.Interesting Wednesday take on him here:

Good to see evidence of their sustainable investment plan in taking Dom Telford away from a host of league 1/league 2 clubs.RonnieMoore said:Newport striker Dom Telford joining Crawley Town

Surely BG will want another ball playing CB though it clearly states he isnt thatRedhenry said:

He’d be ideal as one of four CBs in the squad especially in a backs to wall away game or coming off the bench to see out a game imo.CharltontillidieCOYR said:

Burton (a) on Nov 12,
Port Vale (a) on Nov 19,
FA Cup Rd 2 on Nov 26,
Cheltenham (h) on Dec 3 and
Morecambe (a) on Dec 10.I’m not sure two to four league games is going to be worth keeping CMG around for.
Portugal v Ghana on Nov 24
South Korea v Ghana on Nov 28
Ghana v Uruguay on Dec 2.0 -

Assume he will link up with the squad before that, and maybe be allowed a rest afterwards, so reckon you are close on those 5 games.Callumcafc said:

Ghana v Uruguay on Dec 2.I guess a lot will depend on how much Garner rates AMB/Harness as back ups, and whether he wants JoJo to have some tough competition (considering he did drop him at Swindon).
CMG’s short ball distribution looked non existent, though that could be due to the way we set up, so he might never be in the picture anyway.1 -
I don’t know if there’s anything in the Dunkley rumours, although the Sheffield Star is probably more reliable than most local papers. I asked a friend of mine who supports Wednesday for his view:
”Dunkley’s main strength is his aerial ability. He is definitely League 1 at best on the ground, and was injury prone @ Wigan as well as SWFC.”
I quite like an old style defender (especially at this level) but, as others have said, the injury record is a bit of a concern, especially as we already have Ryan Inniss.0 -
Got a feeling you might be wrong on him missing the Burton game - Last round of Premier League fixtures are the weekend of 12/11 so cant see any International players going off anywhere until after thenCallumcafc said:

I saw that, but they have since been linked with Nathan Bishop of Manchester United.Callumcafc said:MacGillivray to Wycombe?0 -
Garner may feel differently, but if want to play out from the back and are going to play a back 3, then, as long as they’re not completely terrified of the ball at their feet, then there’s room for a bit of an old fashioned stopper in the back line. Having one or two like that in the squad is needed because there are times in this league when you’re a bit out of form and have to go away, on some rainy night, and face a bit of an aerial bombardment, and you do need players who can combat that. We have Innis and Lavelle so I don’t know if we need Dunkey as well but if fit he’s a very decent player at this level. I wouldn’t say no on a free.
