My mum often sends me pictures of Sutcliffe Park when it floods (as it is supposed to). I find it amazing seeing benches submerged in water one day with a Swan swimming past it, and then completely normal the next.0 -
The thing is, this was the surge on what should have been a pretty low tide, if it had been a spring tide, you could have put nearly a metre on that. And then it gets worryingly close for the BarrierAlso Woolwich Dockyards old docks got filled up2

I walked up and down the path between Woolwich and West Thamesmead this afternoon just as it was getting a bit touch and go. Never seen it get as bad as it is now though.1
