What’s with the away form?

Hasn’t been a decent performance since Sunderland in Oct, and you could argue that was an initial post Adkins reaction. 

Burton we won but it was poor and scrappy. Morecambe, Shrewsbury, Plymouth, Cheltenham, Crewe, Hartlepool were all poor. Gateshead we made hard work of as well.

what is it? Our style / formation? We haven’t got enough fighters or attitude away from The Valley?  

Or could it be we are in fact over achieving at home.

    A good question.

    The old cliche about southern softies does ring true a bit. Yes, not all those away day defeats have been at grim oop north places, but we don't travel well.

    Lack of character, players going through the motions, don’t seem to bothered , not up for the fight.

    Only played against Plymouth away and some of Burton away. Away from home we need someone to hold the ball up and take the pressure of the midfield and back 4. Aneke can now do that job but we didn’t have that target man which is vital when playing away from home.

    Just pretty ordinary players who probably think they haven't got much to play for. 

    Didn't even play very well away to Gateshead in the FA Cup.

    Played 7 under Jacko at home. 16 points from 21. Only conceded two goals. Home form isn’t an issue.

    We have been absolutely fine at home since Jackson has taken charge though, Only lost 1 and drawn 1in the league if I remember correctly and that was against Rotherham and Wycombe.

    The other 5 we've won to nil.

    The away form is a reoccurring thing.

    Back three not strong enough when under pressure and only one midfielder (Dobson) can help, and no wing backs in the squad before the Chelsea lad signed.

    I believe the main issue with the away form is we are shit.
