Thoroughly enjoyed this. Roy not injured and reckon we'd have chased it down. Well played SA0

To go from 0-45 off 3 to 3-45 off 3.3 is good going0

Very good test from South Africa. Good that everyone’s been out in the middle too. Some things to learn from in the field. Through to the semis.Very bad that we’ve lost Roy now.. think his injury really pulled the wind from our sails.0

Considering we lost Roy, arguably in our top 3 of most destructive batters, we gave that chase a good go. Be interesting to see who comes in for him.0

Huge huge shame about Roy. He's one of the best in the world and has been having an excellent tournament.
He made the team of the tournament back in the 2016 world t20 and is twice the player now than he was then - largely due to learning which balls to hit and which balls to tap for 1 or 2 rather than trying to hit every ball out the ground.
Does throw a major spanner in the works. How we would love to have Alex Hales in the squad. Or even an in form Tom Banton.
What I think they will do is Bairstow up to open, Livingstone up to 4 (after today we need to get much more out of him) and Billings in as the finisher.
Whatever we do please not James Vince. I can't bare it.
The other change I'd like us to consider is Moeen up to 3 and Willey in for Malan. Willey gives us the extra seam bowler which I feel we needed today, particularly with the quality we have missing in Archer and Mills leaving us reliant on the likes of Wood and Woakes who excellent as they are, do not have the t20 experience/specialism. That left arm angle is hugely important too.
I doubt they will do it because it changes the balance of the side and it will be a brave move to weaken the batting. But, before this game we have hardly needed to use our number 5 let alone 7. I think Willey is a perfectly good number 7, you don't get to face many balls in that role, you just have to come in and tee off and that's what he is best at. He certainly can hit a "long ball" as a surrey fan I have the scars of him getting a T20 century for Northants at finals day. Moeen/Livingstone are wasted at 7. Statistically if you get down to your number 7 in T20 you are much more likely to lose than win. There is no point packing your side with too much batting.
I want to see
Buttler
Bairstow
Moeen
Livingstone
Morgan
Billings
Willey
Woakes
Jordan
Rashid
Wood3 -
I think today was the sort of game you don't really want Malan in for. We took it slightly easy to ensure we qualified before teeing off late, but then Malan doesn't really have that. With Moeen at 3 through to Willey at 7, you have your top 7 all being capable of smashing the ball around.
I do think Malan could still be vital in the last two games. If we are chasing 140 ish then his calm 40 off 35 would be just what we need.1 -
I don't know why Livingstone didn't bowl. Turning the ball away from the left or right hander each match has been vital. To watch Woakes and Wood struggle for length when we had other options was a poor choice, in my opinion.1

NZ need 125 to beat Afghanistan and to go through to the semis0

I catch that in my belly button without all that shit3

Deano would have held it.1

The soon to be 40 year old that is Shoaib Malik smashes 54 off 18 balls including six maximums to take Pakistan to a score of 1890
-
Chasing 190, there really is an acceptance of being outclassed here by Scotland without any semblance of a fight at 41-2 off 10 overs0
-
And then they try to step it up and lose two wickets in the first three balls straight after the drinks break0
-
*If INDIA restricts Namibia under 80 runs and chase down the target within 6 Overs, then they can reach home 2 hours earlier than planned*
