Twitter is nothing different to any high street on a Saturday night. In fact it's better for those who don't want to face up to getting a slap as its done from a distance.
It's not right but if you use twitter (I dont) then be prepared for the bad as well as the good.
Sadly, TS has made a rod for his own back with hyped up statements about Premier League in 5 years and blowing through League 1 this year. There will always be those who take such aspirations as promises and react badly if performance falls short.
They have short memories. 13 months ago administration and the strong possibility of a Bury-like ending were staring us in the face - or perhaps they didn't notice? TS has spent a considerable amount of his personal fortune in buying off ESI & paying expensive lawyers who got him to that point. The on-going running of the club will not be cheap.
Yes he is learning on the job and making mistakes, which is not ideal, but for once in a long time we seem to have an owner with good intentions, and aspirations which match ours. That earns him a lot of credit in my books. No, he and those he employs at the club are not above scrutiny, or criticism if it is deserved. However, there is a world of difference between constructive criticism and vilification. Let's save the latter for those who took us to the brink of disaster in 2020, not the man who provided the lifeline.
As each game passes without a run of wins, it looks increasingly unlikely we will be promotion candidates at the end of this season, and that is very disappointing for everyone - no doubt including TS. In the same way we support the club, and the team (who really are the only ones who can give us the improved performance we crave), we also need to help the owner find his feet - and quickly. That will not be achieved by being abusive towards him.
Said before TS should've packed twitter in when he took over. Don't know why he persists with it.
Maybe he enjoys and values the interaction and communication, even when the feedback is sometimes negative or irrational.
And we also don't know how many of the more aggressive moaners he has muted already.
Also, if he closed his account now he'd be accused of running away or of snubbing the fans by the same people.
When Jean Tindell died I tagged him, along with a few others, on the Bromley Addicks tweet announcing that because I felt it was a topic he might want to learn about and be aware of. He later "liked" 12 comments from other fans remembering Jean.
So just like all social media it has benefits as well as negatives and it is his choice.

There are some very sad people who think interaction with someone on social media makes them mates with the other person and it gives them the right to speak to them. Hopefully TS has a media manager running his accounts ( he does if he has any sense ) and will no nothing of these cowardly lunatics
