  • has he got any stories left after a season of Charlton TV / lockdown football ;)
  • Might take this in.
  • If its November 28th, itd be interesting to know which back up date they've picked incase covid has gone to shit. I certainly wont be booking anything in advance for late nov/December and risk the new date in 2021 being on a Tuesday/work day etc.

  • I could enjoy an hour with one of Madame Fifi's girls in Paris for that, and no VAT either!

And youd get a happy ending.
  • Elfsborg has bought 6 tickets for his mates.
    His generosity knows no bounds.
  • No menu for the dinner published.

  • + VAT?

All of a sudden we live in the states. Just say it's roughly £100

Sounds a very good evening and would be insightful 🙂

If I had the money and time available for it, I would definitely go.

Deffo sounds better than the 4 nil away defeat to Man Utd ending.....

You know it’ll be average food with a poor option for you Seth.
  • Alan Curbishley is an immortal god in Charlton’s history, but should it really be worth the price of actually attending 4-5 home games?!
  • Might have to go to keep an eye on him and his outlandish claims.  😉
  • If the price includes booze I might be interested. I reckon I could get me monies worth if it includes booze!😉
  • Quite pricey but it'd be great to hear all those stories of so many great years under his excellent management.

I was just thinking the same thing - how many people are writing this off as a business expense?
  • Is £85 plus VAT meant to sound more of a bargain than £100?

either way, it's not a bargain, particularly as I cant see that any element of the ticket price is in part a contribution to CACT.

It's a private money making event (nothing wrong with that) with a charitable element outside of the main event.

If it was pitched as a CACT event, with a contribution from ticket prices being made alongside a charitable auvtion during the evening, the pricing (and appeal) might make more sense.

That said, I'm sure it will be a great evening...

    You know me well.
  • These events really aren’t aimed at the vast majority of us so there is no point at all squibbling about the price

This. Advertising it as £85 + VAT suggests it’s aimed at a corporate market, not a common or garden fan. Maybe little Charlton aint so little any more…

Clearly targeted at the corporate hospitality brigade who can claim back the VAT; for the rest of us it's £102.
  • Anyone going
  • Have they published a detailed menu?
