Attention: Please take a moment to consider our terms and conditions before posting.

Help pleas for me and other disabled/disadvantaged supporters.

Going into overdrive, bitter old man speaking.

To everyone out there who has read (those who have not) my recent posts in other groups regarding my situation as a disabled person and my attempts to get some support and help, ideally a buddy or companion to accompany me to games, sit with me and hopefully do some socialising either before or after the game.

This also applies to many others who suffer from loneliness and want to attend games to meet new people and make new friends. It is time to stand up and be counted!!! I am currently suffering emotionally and mentally because it seems unlikely that I will be able to conjure up a repeat of last Saturdays great experience which I enjoyed despite all the anxiety and stress I went through.

To those who have commented on my last post, thanks and where appropriate I will message you directly. I am happy to highlight many things on a public group like this but can we please use messenger to discuss things in more personal detail?

To Heather Robertson and Jade Hannan you have both been so kind to me and I thankyou for that but clearly more needs doing and I am going to take up the cause on behalf of myself and many many others

Heather Robertson I know you are not a well lady and have limitations to as what you can do with CASDA but I am determined to gain a much higher profile for all disadvantaged CAFC supporters regardless if they are disabled or not. I will message you and perhaps when can set up a Zoom meeting to have a proper chat very soon?

Jade Hannan You are wonderful person but you can only do so much and there are only so many hours in the day, you are not invincible or immortal. That said I want to pick your brains and those of others. You are what I would call a selfie and social media queen. You spoke of sending an email to CAFC following a zoom call. Did you get a response? Can you please send me a copy of that email without delay?

I know very little about social media but to all of you interested in this post I say is there a way we can spread the word to the masses. Some of you have thousands of "friends" on social media. Would you be prepared to spread the message? If not thanks but sod off in the nicest possible way.

I have a few ideas, re a new Facebook group, a website, a digital flyer etc. This is quite simple and straightforward to do but I will need everybody's help in getting the message out there via all the appropriate means and raising the profile. Hopefully those who know me will come on board and just a little bit of time.

Finally the club? Are they doing enough? It seems not so they need a bit of a "kicking". In the past when seeking support I emailed the Disability Liaison officer but got sweet fa in response. Anyone tell be who he is or what he does? Thelma Peete had what I can only describe as a terrible experience on Saturday it simply should not be that way.

Someone mentioned CACT, good call also all other supporters clubs, CAST, forums, groups whatever. Seems I am going to have plenty of time on my hands not being able to get to games. I desperately wanted to get down for a couple of days to see Wigan but unless I get get a companion/buddy for the weekend it is not going to happen. Bloody well signed Kirk as well so gutted.

I am going to make a nuisance of myself not only just because of my plight but for all the others who are unable to get their voice across. I will probably get banned from some places but I worry not.
Finally to all of you out there who have become my "new friends" and shown warmth and offered kind words if you mean what you have said you will spread the word and help the cause. Lets Do This!!!!!
