I hope the club publishes something soon about what is going on - before this site goes into complete meltdown...unless they are saving it in an effort to mitigate the May news...?
Why would they post anything now though?
As it stands he's left, as per the previous announcement, whether he then hasn't signed for his next club like he was going to isn't actually anything they'd comment on.
Unless of course we then sign him. But until that happens (if it ever does) they're not going to say anything?
Otherwise it'd be an official statement saying 'oh by the way our old captain hasn't gone somewhere', a week before he signs for Sheffield Wednesday or something.
So @Vjacheslav would it be correct to say that as well as Dobson probably making a decision in January he later regretted, the financial situation of your club has since changed. And losing its main sponsor means the budget for this season will not be the budget that was intended when recruiting Dobson?
so cancelling the contract is the best outcome for both parties?

Different manager now to the one that “signed” Dobson too I think our Hungarian friend said.
Complete mess for all three of the parties involved, but if it ends up that Dobson comes back to us for next season then I guess it’s a better outcome. Some twists in this tale before that happens I would expect.
So we have signed Dobsons replacement, and another player who's supposedly better than Dobson so we would then effectively have Dobson and two spares!
Dobson coming back would be a massive slap in the face to Scott
I don't think it will actually, Dobson and his agent held firm on the contract and so did Scott do they decided to go to Hungary. Now that's nixed and Dobbo is a free agent, I don't think Scott or the club is going to offer more than what they offered in December/January...
Scott does not rate Dobson and allegedly do not get on. Scott would not welcome back Dobson with open arms.
Good job it's not down to Scott then. As we keep on being told...what Jones wants he gets.
That is interesting... I was always of the opinion that he was gone, too late. However, the fact Jones had said all the way though through "we are exploring all options", and hinted "I would love him to stay. Let's see if there is anything we can do" (I had the feeling Jones was looking it into further with Dobson to see if there was a get out of cause, a loophole maybe, so they have kept a hush hush). I don't remember Jones public ally "thanking him for services and good luck in Hungary. you are always welcome back". The official line on CAFC official wasn't convincing for me. It looked like, let's put that line out there". keep it simple, and as everyone says "no leaving words from Dobbo"
Wasn't Dobson spotted at training here in the UK at the weekend, yet was supposed to have been in Hungary last week when he pulled out of the deal. If he was training with us, then that may well indicate that he's staying with us.

He was in a reel on an English performance specialist's Insta account yesterday. Not sure if it was actually filmed as recent as yesterday, or in the UK though.
Being addicted to reading CL numerous times everyday I must admit I have become more and more depressed over recent weeks as I was starting to think our new ownership was going to prove the naysayers correct and they are just another version of the muppets that have owned us for the last decade or so ! BUT !!!! announce Georgie boy and pretty much all is forgiven, my fav Charlton player for years

Close. The main sponsor left last year, but the new did not arrived, as we predicted, so yes the budget is lower.
With all this suddenly surfacing just as Alfie arrives in Birmingham, lets just hope Dobson doesn't join his old mate, that's all we need Alfie "putting in a good word"...

Would make sence.
Also raises that question again, were this Hungarian outfit the only club in Europe who'd pay Dobbo what he wanted?
Unless playing European football was his initial motivation?
