Good news but it doesn't really mean anything until they've signed. I'm sure if any of them said they didn't want to stay they'd have been on the released list.
Going against the grain, but personally I was hoping most, if not all of them would move on.
I know that’s a tin hat statement, I just don’t have much love for any of them.
I respect Pearce, proper pro, proper leader, but I think we need better, even as a back up.
I know I’m in the minority with JFC, but I’ve never been overly impressed with him, regardless of the injury. In a hypothetical situation, had he not got injured, I wasn’t really feeling him at the centre of midfield being the main focal point as he had seemed to become
Aneke, well, he’s got talent, but for me, the two years have been very stop start. I just don’t look at him and think Lyle Taylor, Yann Kermorgant, Bradley Wright Philips, Andy Hunt or Clive Mendonca
Amos is the only maybe for me.
The other 2, definitely not fussed.
Of the 6, I expect Pearce, JFC, Amos & Watson to stay. Not sure about Aneke & Matthews.
This is only positive, there would surely be a subtle hint if players were off. And the fact he wants the squad in place before pre season is excellent.
So until these sign or not we can't move on others maybe. Not exactly the best situation for Thomas.
I would, if it were me, just move on where I could and gradually remove offers if they don't start to sign.
Not at all, Adkins makes it clear there’s a lot going on around recruitment. If any of these players leave it just means we need to sign more players. Whatever they do we still need several signings.
Weak statements coming out of the club from this Adkins interview…we are not being ruthless enough with the players we want to resign - letting them see if they can get a better offer ! Weak strategy while other potential talent out there slips by - remember this was the team that failed to get promotion 🤦🏼♂️🤷🏻♂️🤦🏼
Thomas may have pricked agents ears up with talk of Europe etc and now might be setting his stall out early that although he is ambitious we are not going to be taken for a ride.

The clubs being used again by certain players. Then you get this rubbish that they want to all stay !!! NO!! they want to play us off and fall back on us if no one else wants them, there just trying to keep us sweet. Just get rid of them and start again with players that actually want to be here !!!

Expected more by now to be honest. Not hollow sound bites.

Disagree, their agent will be saying don’t sign until last minute in case a massive offer comes in somewhere else which is what the article hints at. Seems normal course of business to me, they have their offer, it’s there for them, they’ll sign if and when.
I think the key thing here is that this is the way transfer business / transfer windows happen now, particularly with so many players out of contract. It's a game of brinkmanship and if we don't play that game, we are going to end up paying over the odds. Relax, watch the Euros' and leave the worrying to those at the club who can actually do anything about it.

Yes because this is happening at Charlton and only Charlton in all of the league. No other team has any out of contract players who are trying to get a good offer from another team. Definitely not. No sir.
Meanwhile we have players like Stockley so desperate and passionate to play at Charlton that he decided to go on holiday before worrying about the contract.
A healthy dose of perspective is needed by some people.

So unrealistic.
They are professional footballers, it's their livelihood. Of course they look around to see what else is on offer and compare that with our offer.
Just as players at other clubs last season are looking at what we've offered and are deciding whether to stay with the other club or join us.
If they join is it because they "want to be here" and they are fulfilling their life's ambition of playing for Charlton in league 1 or because we made the best offer? I think we all know the answer.
They are not fans, it's a job to them. Yes, once they have signed I expect them to show loyalty and commitment to the club and team and they have and will but let's not get high and mighty about this when other players who have been let go are described by fans demanding loyalty as "deadwood", "shit", "not good enough" etc etc.
This is why there is no point Adkins or anyone else at the club trying to explain to some fans what is happening.

More like 1/91. He isn't going to be signing for Man City is he.

Presume that is Chucks, Amos, Pearce, Mathews and JFC.

Who doesnt want a payrise each year?
Its just up to Sandgaard whether they deserve it or not
Watson and Matthews at the very least will probably want more as they signed under a Salary Cap
The next two minutes could be crucial.
