On behalf of myself and everyone at CL Prediction League plc, I would like to apologise unreservedly about the matter you read in the National Press this week relating to my intention to change the CL Prediction League to a Super Euro Super Prediction International Tournament from next season. I spoke with Boris Johnson yesterday, who was ‘unequivocal’ in his condemnation of the plans for the Super Euro Super Prediction International Tournament (or, SESPIT for short).
I have also listened to the army of CL Prediction League protestors, led by Hopeful Harriet, who made their opinions clear. I should like to assure you that the CL Prediction League will remain in its current format next season and not be limited to predicting games involving the same 12 teams.
In recognition of this grave misjudgement that I made, the CL Prediction League will adopt the new slogan, “Football Predictions for the CL Predictors”. T-shirts bearing this slogan are on sale for £39.99 + VAT and are available in two colours (www.ripofftshirts.co.uk).
