"CHARLTON ATHLETIC: THE VALLEY - THE HISTORY"

For those that may not be aware, there is a 5:03 mins post on YouTube, titled as above. The post is a series of still pictures, starting with one showing the excavation of the Valley in 1911, followed by match incident photos through the following decades and finishes with photos of the derelict ground and it's reconstruction in the 80s/90s.

@JamesSeed - there is a still picture of your grandfather in the posting.

    Some really nice images in there, not sure I have seen the one of them digging out the Valley before.

    I recommend having the speakers turned off. It's accompanied by a random piece of electronic music.

  • Some wonderful pictures. Sadly the photo of the workings c.1900 is not The Valley, but it's still a great picture.
