Morning Gaffer, 6am eh, what happened, did you fancy a lie in this morning, certainly looks great there, let's go get some sunshine everyone, maybe England will bring a smile to everybody's face later
I liked particularly that one line following his analogy that it was like the first day back at school - "we need some more pupils but we're working on that"
Good to hear from Nige, he can even sound upbeat when he is looking forward to it pissing down with rain today, what a geezer, cheers gaffer, and have a good day .....by the way, how are things progressing in class!!
The children are a bit timid to join our school at the moment in case their Guardian agents can find them a school with an indoor swimming pool and foreign trips all paid for. Some of the possible new recruits don't like the idea of the amount of cross country runs in the rain and having to have a smile on their face before getting on the coach to Accrington Stanley on a damp, drab Wintery Tuesday in December.
Walking is brilliant is the Adkins motto: But not during matches !
Love the little 'need some new players though'... it's like a mafia threat, all done behind charming smiles. Can just see him after he's arranged a hit to take out some underperformers: 'good morning, time for a new day, very exciting, new challenges, a couple of little issues solved yesterday, but today's a new start with new opportunities, keep smiling'...
I reckon he is at Shawford station, the line through Winchester is closed due to a broken rail, Shawford is the next station down the line and is near Southampton airport

Gaffer
Our football Manager can talk
Nearly as far as he can walk
He is never ever glum
And is a man who likes fun
Top of the table we will stalk.
Soapbox Sam with a coffee after a stormy night in Canterbury.
Walking is so Brilliant
Charlton will be resilient
Don't tell me it ain't so
We will be consistent
Soapbox Sam just before his daily medication.
Do do, do do, do do, do do.
Always look on the bright side with Nige...
Do do, do do, do do, do do.
(Whey oh whey oh, ay oh whey oh)
Walk like Nigel Adkins
Walk like Nigel Adkins
These are Limericks, following the AABBA rhyme scheme.
I will work on my inner John Lennon.

"Not train spotting". He's still a lot to learn.
