At least he tries to give us a bit going forward and never gives up. Watson: 7.5 - Pretty accomplished. Made up the extra defender when he needed to. Bet Wigan wished he still played for them. Forster-Caskey: 7.5 - Put in a very energetic shift. He's so much more effective when he's allowed to close down higher up, rather than sitting deep. Good to have him back. Smith: 6 - I think he's ok. Showed a nice bit of composure but needs to toughen up (which is why he is with us). Millar: 6 - Tried hard enough but didn't make much impact against a very limited defence. Aneke: 7 - Caused enough nuisance to keep them occupied. Took his goal very nicely bit needs to show a lot more determination to finish off some of the balls into the 6 yard area. Don't know whether it's slow reactions or a slight lack of bottle. Washington: 6 - Tried very hard to close space down and play the tactical game. Involved in our goal but not much else in an attacking sense. Referee: 7 - The pen was an odd one. He must've seen it as Chuks dragging their player down as much as Chuks been pushed over?

Maatsen: 5.5 - got turned a few times and drifted from his position too much leaving Washington to track back. Watson: 7.5 - as a midfielder doesn't add much attacking wise but his main job of protecting the centre backs, wining headers and clearing up any loose balls he did brilliantly in that second half. Forster-Caskey: 7 - apart from some of his crossing I was glad to see him back. adds a bit of energy to the midfield. Smith: 6 - good first half. bit too lightweight afterwards. Millar: 6 - some positive stuff. not very good execution though. Aneke: 7 - neat finish. harassed them throughout. like to have the ball played to his chest/feet which i think helps us get into better positions unlike how we play Stockley to his head. should of used his head though for a cross to score near the end of the first half.
