i think ltgtr that there were a number of other groups as well as northampton as it was FA cup 3rd day and a lot of drinking had been done that day and everyone was at kings cross. silly.
Can't believe a 50 year old man doesn't know any better. Idiot!! I've never seen any fighting in or around Charlton on a match day, have heard comments and abuse but that's it.
Just found it suprising, seem to remember a while back a bit in the programme about "Large scale disorder" after the Brentford game up in Greenwich.
It would be pretty fair to say that after both of the Palace home games last time there was a lot of fighting between so called "normal fans". That cup cup game especially.
Stephen Lyons, aged 50, of Bayliss Avenue, Thamesmead, Daniel Boylett, 26, of Rochester Way, Eltham, and Joe Goedhart, 21, of Rembrant Road, Lewisham, were each sentenced to a year in jail at the Inner London Crown Court, on July 5.
the older fella has been a fan since the seventies, good stuff, dont see what all the fuss is about ,nothing you dont see every saturday night, there be out on tag in 3 3 months, hardly crime of the century.

Does anyone know any of these three?
I know Steve lyons. He featured on a TV programme a few years ago when a Black broadcaster (can't remember his name) was researching racism in football or something and he pitched up at the Valley when we played Nottm Forest where he had a debate with a few Charlton fans in Floyds. Steve Lyons was one of those debating.
oh the one when that prick darcus howe was doing his best to fish out racism, and panned to a forest flag with nf on ,the intials of nottingham forest, that of course didnt register with that twat howe.
I cant fathom why anyone would want to get involved in this sort of thing these days! Aside from the fact that its just not worth it, there's so much CCTV around that you're bound to get caught!

It wasn't Darcus Howe who did that but the programme makers. Howe said when a fan had made a racist statement other, white, fans had pulled him up about it and he complemented the club not just in the TV programme but in newspaper articles he wrote at the same time as it came out.
As we've just seen with "Queen steams out of photo session" lie TV companies are not adverse to twisting the truth. Ditto Gordon Ramsey and the spear fisherman.
fair due,but sometimes shit happens, for example i find palace fans and millwall fans to be general tossers,we lose and there around piss taking im going to let em no.silly but envitable
henry darus howe has a chip on his shoulder the size of a boulder, everything he stands for is laughable,15 odd kids from how many girlfreinds,i doubt darcus is putting hes hand in hes pocket for kids either, sadly its a part of westindian culture not to,i rember him bragging about how the windies beat england all the time, dont hear much on the cricket subject from him these days.a complete joke of a man.

And you're someone who makes up "facts" to suit your biter and twisted view of the world. But hey don't let the truth get in the way of your prejudices.
i find darcus howe not to my liking, whats the problem with that,i dont find black people not to my liking, darcus has made a career out of disliking british culture and only recently people are not giving him airspace.the man should sort himself out stop getting pisssed and wining on about the past.bye bye henry.
[cite]Posted By: LenGlover[/cite]When compelled to attend Bluewater with the wife and / or daughters it is my habit to park myself in Waterstones and browse through the books.
On one occasion I picked up a book featuring notorious hooligans from various clubs.
The Charlton representative was Steve "Wingnut" Lyons.
Possibly the same chap mentioned above. I can't remember the title of the book offhand.
Yeah i remember while i was waiting to board a plane there was a couple of book shops there.
I went to the footy section and saw hooligan book, didn't think there would be any Charlton in there, but i do remember some man called Wingnut. Spoke to the interviewer in the setting of Clockwork Orange ie Thamesmead.
But he said he has calmed down a bit, has a family etc, also he said he hated having a ruck nowaday's too many camera's about. and funnily enough he said there was a big fight a couple of decades ago was with Sheffield Weds .
Darcus Howe did cheese me off once, when there was a debate he was chairing about flying the Union flag or St. George cross during one of the world cups or something and whether it alienated ethnic minorities. He kept to a line that he was against all flags as symbols of nationhood. Then when a chirpy rasta chap pulled out a flag he had designed - the Union flag design, done in the jamaican colours of red, black and green, he said he liked it. Hypocrite I think.

For the record it wasnt at all organised.

Really dumb IMO!!
