Have just seen a report that charlton are prepared to accept a lower sum of 2.7million for him. Does this suggest that Young is definitely surplus to requirements?
We have two options at RB behind Young - Sankofa and Moo2, with Young that makes three right backs, how many do we need?
I'd sell if the money was right, if not see if a Prem team was interested in a loan with us getting him back at the end of the year if we get promoted. As for the reported £2.7, if Konchesky is valued at £3.5 then there is something very wrong with his ankle.

Boughy can play RB as well. Totally agree on the price thing but perhaps this is a ploy to get the bidding started. personally i'd be happy with about £3 mill, although i do appreciate that with the crazy prices of today, we should get closer to £5 mill.
The problem is that the Konchesky deal has now set the bar quite high, so people are likely to be disappointed with what we get for him.
£3m would previously have looked like a decent price, but if we're going to make comparisons, then perhaps it should be £4m+. Think that would mean we would recoup what we finally paid for him, and that would be some achievement given his injury problems in recent years.
He's worth more than that. Full England international, nearly 200 premiership appearances. If we sell him for less than we paid for him we are stoopid.
He would start for nearly any side in the country.
