    Cheers Lancs.

Feels like there should be a minimum score required before someone can win “man of the match”!

Must be the first time a keeper has won MOTM when not making any real saves - its not like he kept us in the game !!

Looks like the team took one for the manager.

Maybe we should issue marks for the managers tactics.

    Oops, forgot to vote!

The referee missed the chance to claim a rare MOTM award but blew it by also being rubbish  :)

Feels a bit harsh for Bogle to be stranded at the bottom, when neither Washington nor Smyth had a shot.

He was proper rubbish though, and didn’t do well with our only half decent chance. I think his score is probably also influenced by the fact that people were getting sick of him prior to the match due to his previous performances. Ratings should probably only be based on that specific game, but people’s general impression of a player would likely still be a factor.

It did cross my mind to make it a non MoM match, but after 10 years of doing the stats I thought it wrong to change the system

He was rubbish I agree, but was Smyth any better? He barely seemed to touch the ball and never looked remotely like scoring

I guess people will mark you worse if a player does something bad (I.e. misses a decent chance) compared to doing nothing at all. Who knows, it’s not an exact science. I didn’t even score the players as I was so annoyed after the match that I just wanted to forget all about it!

To win MoM with a score of just 5.8 ....... ouch!

Thanks Lancs. Is Bogle's 2.8 average rating the lowest we've had? I don't recall any worse than that.

It's funny really if you look at it as Goal Interactions, rather than just goals, Bogle's doing almost as well as the other two.

Top 10 GI for All comps
    1. Aneke 9 (7/2) 692 mins played / 76.8 mins per GI
    2. Washington 7 (6/1) 1,382 mins played / 197.4 mins per GI
    3. Morgan 7 (2/5) 879 mp / 125.5 per gi
    4. Bogle 5 (2/3) 769 mp / 153.8 per gi
    5. JFC 5 (2/3) 1,154 /230.8 per gi
    6. Williams 4 (2/2) 731 / 182.8
    7. Shinnie 4 (1/3) 952 / 238
    8. Maddison 3 (1/2)  511 / 170.3
    9. Doughty 3 (1/2) 815 / 271.6
    10. Smyth 3 (1/2) 555 / 185

Best GI/ Mins according to the above
      76.8 - Aneke
    125.5 - Morgan
    153.8 - Bogle
    170.3 - Maddison
    182.8 - Williams
    185.0 - Smyth
    197.4 - Washington
    230.8 - JFC
    238.0 - Shinnie
    271.6 - Doughty

This leads me to a very odd conclusion... We should play the following formation:

    Amos
    Gunter - Oshilaja - Pearce - Maatsen
    F.Caskey
    Morgan Maddison
    Williams
    Bogle - Aneke
Subs: M.Brewer, Matthews, Purrington, Millar, Smyth, Washington, Schwartz.

You can have that one for free Lee.

I see your point, but at the same time, he plays up front so inevitably will be involved more in the attacks. Doughty has 2 less GI than him and hasn't been played since October.

But if you look at GI/minutes he is almost twice as good as Doughty 🤔
