Didn’t a rugby league player get banned for ramming his finger up an opponents brown eye recently?
Yeah and England player too
When I played Rugby all sorts of illegal fouling would go on, stamping and sly punching mainly and I accepted that but more than once players tried to either rip my dick off of jam a thumb in my arse and it got a reaction every single time. Fucking unacceptable and unnecessary is what it is. Every time something like this happened it was either against a side from Sheppey or New Ash Green.

It passes for 'banter' in some sports. Rugby seems even worse than football when it comes to this.
“ The incident took place in the same week that the dual code England rugby international Joel Tomkins was handed an eight-match ban for making 'inappropriate contact' with Richie Myler's backside in a Super League contest between Catalans Dragons and Leeds Rhinos. TV footage caught Tomkins putting his finger in Myler's backside.”
Many rugby players went to boys boarding schools where having the finger is de rigueur in the dormitory. After that they become English Prime minister's. The Bullingdon club is full of lewd behaviour and the "pigs head" is after Brexit, David Cameron's main claim to fame.

I've met a lot of rugby players who were pretty homophobic but after a few drinks they all seemed intent on some pretty strange behaviour towards each other. Maybe it's just down to public school culture? Strange what passes for bants in their world.
It really is starting to appear quite a lot in rugby league. I don’t get it 🤷♀️
I would think that in rugby it's been going on for years. Football too, but probably not as much. Difference now is that there are cameras everywhere, so if you do it the chances are someone will capture it.
The "idea" is normally to try and wind up your opponent to either put them off their game or so as to provoke a reaction that portrays them as the aggressor and maybe gets them sent off. It's the same as people tweaking nipples or pulling armpit hair as they "help you to your feet" - or digging in a nail when they shake your hand so that you look like you are violently pulling out of the handshake.
Never my game, but it's been going on - on and off, certainly not every game - for decades.

The other thing that made me laugh was Gazza admitting that when Jones went to take a throw in, he told Gazza to stay there where he was, and he did
And bleddy painful !
Seems to be a different law on the pitch.

Darrell Fisher needs to explain what was going on in his mind.
A ban should follow psychological reports.

as for Rugby players, they drink beer out each other’s arses so fingering each other during a match isn’t all that surprising

This game was a classic for violence.
:-)
Imagine what VAR would've made of that game?
I bet corners were fun.
