England international Luke Young was at neither of Wednesday night's matches against Welling or Tooting & Mitcham and Pardew admitted earlier this week that the defender could leave the Addicks before the start of the season.
"We've had a few phone calls about Luke," said Alan. "I've got a lot of time and respect for Luke and I appreciate where he is in his career he wants to play in the Premier League.
"However, that's not always possible and I know that if we don't get the right offer then he'll stay and be as professional as he is. There is no bad feeling and he's not being difficult.
"If a decent club comes in and I thought the fee was right I'd let him go. I've obviously brought in a replacement already in Yassin Moutaouakil, who I feel is going to give real competition to Luke whether he stays or not.
"There are people manoeuvring at the moment. In some ways I think he's a difficult price, bearing in mind his age and his England experience, so everyone may be a bit nervous to make that first bid. I'm sure when it comes in, two or three clubs will be interested."
