Former Charlton players will get the opportunity to show off both their football and cricket skills when they face some of the world's top cricketers at a unique charity event taking place at West Malling on Sunday.
A Charlton Invitation XI will play against the famous Lashings World XI at The Old County Ground, Norman Road with a Twenty20 cricket match commencing at 2.30pm and a 20 minute each way football match to follow.
The Charlton players have participated in a few cricket matches in the past but they will face their toughest test yet when they go into battle against Lashings. The Lashings squad includes Richie Richardson (West Indies), Alvin Kallicharran (West Indies), Henry Olonga (Zimbabwe), Chris Cairns (New Zealand), Nathan Astle (New Zealand), Marvan Atapattu (Sri Lanka), Nantie Hayward (South Africa), Phil DeFreitas (England), Devon Malcolm (England) and many more.
The Charlton team is set to include a number of well known names, including Alan Curbishley, Rob Lee, Mark Kinsella and Sasa Illic.
Other attractions are being laid on at the ground to ensure this is a day out for the whole family.
These include a steel band, award winning children's entertainers Sonny and Rainbow, some incredible nine feet high cricketers, the Pearly King of St Pancras, a beer tent and refreshments.

Is that why 1905 isn't available for The Old Pilotonians this weekend? Splitter.
Phew! That is some line up - Lashings had better bat first or it will be a very short game!
