Two postponements last weekend forced a number of predictors to make alternative predictions. However, generally, the alternative predictions were not too successful. It's a reminder, though, that if a game is called off, you can change your prediction to another game as long as the alternative game hasn't kicked off.
This week's predictors that were a whisker away from a perfect set of three predictions were
@vff and
@addickted2u, who both come crashing into the Premier League after scoring seven juicy points.
@AFKABartram scored a perfect six from his two predictions but left it too late to be able to make a third prediction. After looking comfortably placed at the top last week,
@philcafc has a pack of hounds on his heels at the top of the Premier League.
46 of the 47 that chanced a prediction on the Charlton game were rewarded with at least point, although judging by the comments on the Match Thread at half time,
@Algarveaddick, who with the benefit of hindsight be might called a pessimist, looked to be a realist at that half time juncture having predicted a 1-0 loss.
Charlton's 2-0 means that Hopeful Harriet was Happy Harriet on Saturday night although her regular 2-0 loss predictions for Millwall and Palace didn't come off. She nudges above Pessimist Pete who, as usual, could only foresee a 2-0 defeat at Northampton and 2-0 wins for Millwall and Palace.
