He he looked really sharp the other night vs Wimbledon. One of Chelsea’s best0
-
he should name names0
-
Chris Gunter perhaps, he was 30ish at the time. Both part of the group of full backs for the season so would’ve had to see a lot of each other…0
-
All of the comments from Chelsea fans urging him to stay. Weird move.0 -
The worrying thing is it says players and guys so there were at least 2. Real sad to hear.Callumcafc said:Chris Gunter perhaps, he was 30ish at the time. Both part of the group of full backs for the season so would’ve had to see a lot of each other…
Liked maatsen a lot at the time as a player and glad he is doing well.0 -
Seems like Chelsea were happy for Maatsen to be back up to chilwell but couldn’t do a deal with Utd for Cucurellla. No real point keeping the 3 of them.SELR_addicks said:

Initially on loan with an option to buy for £31.5m.
Is it me or is that fee waaaaayyyy too high. Decent player but £10m tops.
Or is that just how the Prem is now.2 -
Think that's just the Prem nowadays. And I believe Maatsen would also count as a homegrown , not that Burnley have any trouble with that side of things.1

Bad idea to guess.0 -
Somehow think they won't play him on the right side of midfield as we did once!0
-
Been playing on the wing for Chelsea this season more than defence, both sides too, so Dortmund might do!

He played right attacking midfield for Chelsea when they played Palace last month, inverse wingers are all the rage these days0

Won Bundesliga’s “rookie of the month” award.

Some of the posts in this thread make for great reading.
Champions League semi finalist. Not up to L1 standard tho!7 -
Yeah but Ben Purrington beat Tennai Watson in the air to score a goal in League One, then cleared one off the line1
-
He was always had the goods and the attitude to match. Purrington wasn't fit to lace his boots.1

“Just three years ago Ian Maatsen was playing in League One against the likes of Accrington Stanley.Today he's in the Champions League semi-final after helping Borussia Dortmund progress against Atlético Madrid 📈#UCL”
