@philcafc into an impressive three-point lead at the top of the Premier League.
The late postponement of the Juventus v Napoli game caused a late flurry of activity. It unfortunately meant that some predictors unaware of the postponement scored no points for this game, but three others creatively predicted the Aston Villa v Liverpool hoping that I wouldn't notice that the game wasn't even on the list of fixtures for last week. That creativity was unrewarded not only because the game was not available for predictions, but, of course, the predictions were for comfortable Liverpool wins. As we all know, Liverpool lost 7-2. Surely, these predictors should be deducted a few points for this woeful prediction, but having checked the rule book, I can't find any reason to award anything less than zero points for that prediction.
Predicting a game after it has actually been played is becoming something a weekly event this season. Still, for the first time someone predicted a game that had already been played and got the result correct - the previous predictions this season of games already played had all been wrong amazingly enough. As a little prank,
@Miserableoldgit predicted the Villa scoreline as 7-2 several hours after the game had taken place. Great hindsight, indeed, but it wasn't on the coupon.
