Two Signed Shirts for Sale, Geoff Hurst and Wayne Rooney

edited October 2020 in Social Groups
A friend's husband died and left her with these two shirts.  I'm the only person she knows with any connection to football so she asked me if I'd help sell them.

They are both very well framed.  The Geoff Hurst dates from 2000 or earlier as can be seen by the date on the back of the frame.  The Wayne Rooney dates from 2003 as can be seen by the letter of authenticity from Everton.

Yes, I know we're a Charlton forum but if anyone knows any WHU or Everton fans, perhaps they could point them here?

She wants about £80 for the Hurst shirt and about £150 for the Rooney shirt.  The frames probably cost £60 so £80 for the Hurst shirt is, I'd say, a bargain.  If you're a fan of Hurst, of course.

@Baldybonce thanks for trying with your WH mate.

@AFKABartram thanks for pointing me at the marketplace.

Rather than trying to sell them on here - where you have only got a very limited audience - why not try one or all of the following.

    1) EBay. Not sure that would be my first port of call but if you've got an account it's easy to list and you can put a minimum price on them that you want. And I'm always amazed what sells on there!

    2) A specialist sports auction company. Sportingold & Staceys are 2 you could try. Otherwise do a goggle search. Bear in mind commission prices are often about 20%

    3) Or approach a dealer direct and see if they want them. Unfortunately, I doubt you will get anywhere near the prices you are asking for them . The Programme Monthly website - https://www.programmemonthly.com/ - is probably not a bad place to have a look for dealers who might be interested.

@Fortune 82nd Minute Thanks for the suggestions.  I'm going to try those soon but I thought I would try on here, a WH forum and an Everton forum first.
