I was on the phone to Pessimist Pete last night. "5-0 to Sunderland on Saturday", he proclaimed. After a few minutes, he was back to his old self predicting a 2-0 loss, while he fully expected Palace and Millwall to both win 2-0. Meanwhile, Hopeful Harriet texted me to say that she couldn't see past a Charlton win of 2-0 over Sunderland and 2-0 defeats for Millwall and Palace. Don't know what this is all about? Well, Hopeful Harriet and Pessimist Pete have joined the Prediction League and will make the same predictions every week. After three weeks, Pessimist Pete is doing better than Harriet.
