Letters pour in each week to the CL Prediction League admin office. The biggest complaint we receive as we sift through the mail is lack of equal opportunities in the CL Prediction League. Yes, that's right, equal opportunities. But, it's been fixed. This season, the results and league tables will not favour those whose CL name comes alphabetically earlier than others. This year all results will be sorted in reverse alphabetical order. It's already made a difference to me. Rather than being in the lower reaches of the Championship, I can hold my head that little bit higher as I sit in the play-off spots in the Championship while @AFKABartram appears lower down the Championship table. So, @walshiesleftfoot, @Webbja77 and @WestSussexAddick, enjoy this season a little bit more while @56yearsofdreams, @Addick Addict and others will have to work a little harder for glory.
And so, Week 1 has been completed and there were some impressively high scores. Picking the right games was highly important this week. A record 14 people predicted the correct 2-0 scoreline for Ipswich v Wigan, while no one thought Luton could win at Barnsley. This week's stars were @ThreadKiller, @Lewis Coaches, @clive and @cblock, who all scored an impressive 7 points. Just behind were @SeaBayRed and @mrbligh with 6 points. Charlton scored one goal too many for @ThreadKiller to achieve the maximum score.
